This is a non-vented unit. It will put out carbon monoxide as will ALL fuel burning. That is why furnaces transfer heat instead of blowing it at you as a heater does. YOU COULD DIE!
Yes, it's the same gas but a different connection; so you will have to change out the connection everytime if you use the same tank OR (my recommendation) just have dedicated tanks for forklift use and others for the heaters. Gas man will fill them both the same way.
