A:  There are no holes in the sides of the planter. There are drainage holes on bottom of planter that drain into the detachable saucer base.

A:  No holes in the bottom, I just tip the planter to drain - no holes no messy railings!!

A:  If you would like to attach the planter to a shed, we recommend using flower box brackets.

A:  I did not attach directly to house/shed. The 6 units I purchased sit on wrought iron plant stands as an alternative to water running out onto my cedar siding. The units become quite heavy when filled with plants and soil. I would recommend that you purchase hangers and mount those to your shed and then place the filled resin planters onto the 2 mounting brackets rather than screwing the planters directly to your shed. It's likely that the screws would pull through the planter when its fully planted due to the additional weight. I've seen the brackets sold as "L" shaped and "U" shaped planter mounts. The other thing that I did not consider when I purchased the wrought iron planters was placement. Two of the three units are sitting under the roof overhang, in front of my picture window rather than out on the patio. The resin planters will hold some water in reserve but I have to water them much more often than all of my other planters given their location. If you are mounting to your shed, you may want to consider the roof overhang issue and possibly buy a few globe watering bulbs if you are not using a drip, or some other, watering system. Also, if you do mount directly to your shed, you may want to add a strip of wood or plastic to the shed in back of the planter to protect the shed siding from water and to keep the bottom of the resin planter pushed out and away from the shed given it is slightly narrower at the bottom than it is at the top of the planter. You will not need to do this is you use the brackets. That said, I am very happy with the strength of these resin planters. I was moving a loaded shelf and two of the planters fell to the ground - neither one cracked or split, which was a relief!

A:  The height of the window box is 6.6".

A:  The Black Resin Window Box with Saucer is 6-5/8" from bottom to top inclusive of the integral bottom tray. Or 6.625" high from bottom to top inclusive of the integral bottom tray. This was measured with the box sitting on a flat surface with the measuring device perpendicular to the flat surface (the actual sides of the Window Box are slanted) .
