Given that this P728 spring is being sold indivicually and is rated at 150 lbs, is a single P728 spring actually lifting the rated capacity of 150 lbs, so that a single P728 on each side of the door is providing 300 lbs of lift?
If you read the specs it says 2 will lift 150LBS
Is there a replacement foe P728C garage door spring? Could I use just ap728 garage door spring .
I'm not an expert, but I saw a comment from a spring distributor online that C stood for "clip hook included with the spring" and that it's not sold together anymore. They recommended to buy P728 as replacement. C hook or W hook can be bought separately.
I just replaced my old Holmes P728C with these E900 P728 springs on my garage door. It's the same spring. The new springs have higher tensions than the old stretched out ones, so I made adjustments to balance the door weight correctly. Youtube helped.
