I do like bone meal for this high nitrogen content but it also works to discourage critters that like to eat the tender plants so I've sometimes sprinkled this product around plants thus helping to save the plants. This product is a nice find. It's very fine and the package has good detail. I'll certainly seek out this product when I need to purchase more.

I just used this product while planting some lily bulbs (a little late) and found it to be an easy to use product. Like their bone meal, this is finely ground and easy to apply. I combined it with their bone meal to make a balanced fertilizer blend. This measures 14-0-0, which is more potent than the another brand I had in my potting shed which was only 12-0-0.

I added this product, earth science organic all purpose blood meal plant food fertilizer to my vegetable garden soil. I really appreciate the fact this is organic because I’m planting food for my family and would rather not add in any harsh unhealthy chemicals to the soil. This product provided the necessary nutrients into the soil that led to large healthy vegetable plants. The instructions were simple and easy to execute. I would recommend this product to anyone who wishes to give their soil a nice boost!

I am using this organic all-purpose fertilizer around the trees, in the raised bed garden and in the key-hole compost to activate the composting process. The directions are to spread around one tablespoon of the product around the drip-line of the plant and not let it concentrate around the plant, so it is best to spread it evenly and water it. It is meant to be applied during growing season. It seems to have helped so far and the trees and plants are looking good after a week of application.

The EARTH SCIENCE 4 lbs. Organic All-Purpose Blood Meal Plant Food Fertilizer is my wife's new go to natural organic plant food source. She is an avid gardener and throughly loves getting her hands dirty, and we are learning and leaning towards more the organic and natural way of sustaining our diet with what's good for us. The blood meal is a great nitrogen source which in the Northwest, we lack of. We are excited for our first time results and it was so easy to distribute through the whole garden, raised beds and multiple pots and it goes a long way. Look forward to many garden seasons with Earth Science Essentials.

I like the fact that this is organic. I have hoop gardens and terraced flowers and am very careful as to what I put on as soil enhancers This is an ideal source of "slow release" nitrogen, derived from blood meal. Blood meal also helps repel certain critters such as rabbits. This 4-lb bag will cover 400 sq feet of garden or plant area at the normal feed rate or 200 sq feet at the heavier feeding rate. You should reapply every 2 or three months. It can also be used as a compost enhancer. It comes our of Wisconsin and the package contains phone numbers for questions and or help.

Ordered the 14-0-0 fertilizer to add nitrogen and other nutrients to promote growth naturally on especially prized plants in my landscape. Decided to try the totally organic fertilizer derived from blood meal, a byproduct of slaughterhouses, as a sustainable non-synthetic source of Nitrogen. I spread the product on various plants including a Persian lime citrus tree and am evaluating it effectiveness short and longer term. I have seen results on this pictured plant over one week but question attributing the results to the product since the literature indicates it generally releases over a one to four month period depending on soil type and growing conditions. I also am trying it to more quickly break down organic matter in my compost bin. Really like sustainable stuff made from otherwise discarded byproducts.

EARTH SCIENCE 4 lbs. Organic All-Purpose Blood Meal plant food is a fertilizer especially good for vegetable gardens. I do wish that the bag had a resealable zipper, but was pleasantly surprised at the lack of odor. I generally prefer pellet formats to powder. Just be careful when spreading the powder that it doesn't go in a cloud all over the place or you'll want to wash your clothes and take a shower.

I'm retired and tend a small garden in my yard. I grow basil, pineapples, mint, oregano, & thyme. My back yard has a blooming cherry tree & a star fruit, among other things. I saw this Earth Science eco- friendly bone meal at Home Depot for a really good price. It's ideal for trees, vegetables, and fruit plants. The ratio is 14-0-0, which enriches the nitrogen in your ground. Better jump on this, it's not going to be here long.
