A:  Didn't bother to properly read the question = typical wrong manufacturer response. The very 1st sentence said "a pan with 4 sides to hold water then put a leak sensor in it to notify me". Pay attention!!! Closest I found was the WirthCo 40092 22x22" pan.

A:  Yes, this is designed for the average person to be able to install the dishwasher pan before or after dishwasher has been installed. If the dishwasher is installed before the drain pan has arrived, the dishwasher will have to be removed from it's location. Once the dishwasher pan has been put in place, the dishwasher will need to be reinstalled. A:  It is simple to install, but understand that you will have to completely disconnect and remove the dishwasher, install the pan, then reconnect and reinstall the dishwasher. Any do-it-yourselfer can accomplish this task.

A:  It had to be installed first, you will need to uninstall your dishwasher slide the pan in place then reinstall your dishwasher. If your water tubes are long enough you should just be able to slide your dishwasher out of the way.

A:  No, it must be installed before the dishwasher as it has a lip on 3 sides, it wouldn’t be possible to put it in afterwards unless you put it in backwards which kind of defeats the purpose.

A:  It depends on the size of your dishwasher and the cabinet opening. It will fit most dishwashers. When I used one it fir the entire floor area. However, one edge is open, which they say should face the front so if any water leaks, it spills out to the floor area. However, as you can see in the photos, I ran a good bead of caulk across this opening to seal it so it won't run out. I then, installing the dishwasher, placed a water detector alarm inside the pan so if water leaks, it is contained and will sound the alarm rather than spilling out onto my floor. I would rather the alarm sound off then rely on lazy renters to notice the water leak and call me. Just my experience with renters.
