          My chainsaw is a CS400 and came with an 18 inch blade after talking to several people that cut trees for a living they told me to get a smaller blade for the size engine as the 18 inch blade is the maximum blade for that size engine and they said a smaller blade would maximize the performance. They were correct I cut down a whole tree very quickly with little to no strain on the chainsaw. I would strongly encourage anybody to go out and buy the smaller blade for their bigger chainsaw.
