This is a very good tool when you soil is clean, with no rocks or roots. It does not do well in this situation. It jumps/bounces and you need to really hold on. I made the purchase to till flower beds in tight places. It worked perfectly for that, but you will need to keep the tines clear of roots that will build up. Very easy to do.
I own several other Echo products. The starting procedure is really a disappointment. All of my other Echo products are much easier to start.
I coach track and this product will be very useful for maintaining all of our sand pits at school. I’m sure I will get my moneys worth out of it somehow or someway.

The ECHO 21.2cc tiller is a light weight work horse small tiller/cultivator.
The main feature is the amount of work this machine can do and the mobility, gas power has much more freedom.
The best thing about this tiller is its size and power. It works really well between the rows, small tillers like this are the best for weed control when the garden is planted.
Since i had been using an electric cultivator prior to the ECHO 21.2cc is does take a little getting used too, it does tend to bounce when being used in damp soil.
Product has a convenient kick stand and a carrying handle.
This product has the power, mobility that makes buying anything else a waste of time.
I'm glad i bought it.

Absolutely does as advertised. Easy assembly, 4 bolts.Lightweight and powerful. Kickstand is a bonus. Loads into back of a vehicle without a problem. Tills into tight places without having to remove landscape lumber and great for areas confined by concrete borders. It also will bury as deep as you need for any application.
