See my YouTube video to see how it works.
You can watch my review video here on YouTube. https://youtu.be/4N1rv7Wh3Aw I have had this trimmer head on multiple trimmers and have hundreds of hours of use with it and I can say it is the best trimmer head I have ever used. The speed and ease of restringing is awesome.

HUGE Improvement over U-Turn head - Whole yard defeated in one go!
The U-Turn on my older SRM trimmer made me DREAD weadeating after mowing. Today I installed this Speed-Feed 400. The instructions were not great. I consider myself fairly handy, and tech-savy, and I still referred to google and youtube to get the head installed. Once I figured it out, it took about 2 minutes to get going. I tested it immediately, and to my surprise, I trimmed my entire yard (it's quite large) in one swift motion. I had ZERO issues with the bump feed, and really it seemed to feed itself about 90% of the time. My previous U-Turn would always make me stop once or twice to figure out why it was not feeding. This made a huge difference in the job, and my sanity being saved was well worth the $30 investment.

        Echo head on Honda
Installed this head last season. I have a 4 stroke Honda trimmer. It's working well. Easy to install, like 10 minutes. Easy to reload. Can't really find any faults in the design, cost, installation process. I'm recommending it to a neighbor with a Stihl trimmer.

          Broke twice
First one I purchased the screws striped so took it back and after ten minutes of working the attachment screw bent causing a vibration. I was unable to use it and had to return it again. Other reviews liked the product but I must’ve got two lemons.
Won't fit bolens out of the box
This is obviously not made for the bolens 110, though the box stated it world. The head mating screw was 5/16"x18 and the only right hand adapter in the kit was 8mmx1.25mm. Luckily it was close enough to re-tap. Time will tell if this will hold, it was cheaper than OEM parts and it was half the price of a new weed eater. Still had to cobble it together.

              ECHO Speed-Feed 400 Gets 5 stars!
ECHO Speed-Feed 400 Curved Shaft Trimmer Head exceeded my expectations! Gets 5 stars! It has saved me so much time & energy I cannot believe it is not the standard head for this model. I now spend my time weed eating, not pulling the head apart to fix! Highly recommend for ease of use, function, great performance & price.

                works for Milwaukee 18v trimmer
Works better than the original. Easy to install. Remove the old trimmer head from the milwaukee trimmer by inserting a small screw driver/ allenwrench into the hole on gearbox apply light pressure and spin trimmer head until it stops. Then rotate the trimmer head counter clockwise (looking from top of trimmer). Use the black plastic spacer that is provided with the Echo Speed Feed 400 kit. Then install the new trimmer head. The new trimmer head already has fhe correct nut installed.

The Echo Speed Feed 400 head is a much better replacement head in my opinion in place of the factory trimmer head for the Dewalt 40 volt string trimmer. Takes the feeding and loading trimmer line frustration out of this trimmer. Just remove the factory aluminum trimmer head adapter (see pic) and install the correct Speed Feed 400 female adapter in the Speed Feed 400 trimmer head and tighten in a counter clockwise manner until hand tight. Took me 10 minutes. Makes using the Dewalt 40 volt string trimmer much less frustrating with string trimmer loading and feeding issues than the factory trimmer head. The factory trimmer head wasn't too terribly bad on feeding issues, but if you were not very careful about rewinding the line carefully and efficiently the line would like weld to itself or stick together and then break off inside the trimmer spool, which required removing the trimmer head spool and sometimes reloading the trimmer line. ......VERY FRUSTRATING......Loading trimmer line is so much easier with the Echo Speed Feed 400 and so far after using the Speed Feed head for a few months I have had zero issues. Loading 16 feet of .095 line is a breeze. The factory head was only recommended for .080 line but this head accepts .095 which is definitely a plus. I found that if I would Load the line about 3 to 4 feet below max capacity the line feeds without any issues. Example......if it takes 20 feet max capacity of .095 then load 16 or 17 feet. Pic 1 The factory aluminum adapter that must be removed to expose the factory male left hand threaded shaft. Pic 2 lots of reviews say the Dewalt 40 volt string trimmer won't accept aftermarket heads. The proof that it will is in the pics.

If you are looking for a replacement head for the Echo 99944200540 PAS curved trimmer attachment ...
If you are looking for a replacement head for the Echo 99944200540 PAS curved trimmer attachment look no further. The wonderful 99944200540 comes with the inferior "rapid loader" head which is a pain, requiring regular stops and reloads for even a moderately sized job. This replacement head gives you the best possible solution - bump line feed, easy loading, big capacity, and the nice compact size of the 99944200540 curved PAS attachment. Just unscrew the old head, disassemble the new head, and drop in the included white plastic insert that already houses the proper thread. Easy-peasy!
