It would depend on what you are trying to clean from the pumping system, first off.. This is an enzyme based product designed to be allowed to work over time. Read the label.. (It does work well when used as intended and directed) You put this product in the toilet (or sink) mix it with the water.. and allow to "drain (or Flush)" and stand in the pipe for 8+ hours. (It also goes into the Septic system, if you have one and improves Bio activity there. I have used it to treat the drain in my Jetted tub, but NOT circulated through the pumping system or into the jets. If you were going to try what you are asking about ( and it would depend on what you were trying to "CLEAR" from the system. Remember, there is a filter in there too.).. You would need to fill the tub above the JET line, add 1/4-1/2 cup of the ECOS, run the tub for 3-5 min., allow to stand for 4-8 hours, run the jets again, drain and rinse 2 to 3 times with the same amount of water and jet cycle. (just would not nee to wait... drain, refill, drain, refill, drain) You might want to do some more research as to what you should use.. You do not want the residue from this lingering in the bathtub.
Yes you can.
I do not think it will help. Never hurts to try once. It has done great for me in the bathrooms and kitchen pipes but never the laundry room. There should be a filter screen installed in the drain pipe where the washer drain hose fits in, in my opinion. That stops the wet lint from slowing building up in the drain pipe. I used a snake to clean out a few washer drains that had backed up in my rentals over the years unless something went down the pipe.
I don’t know if it will. I used it in a toilet and that worked fine.
Check out contractors such as roto-rooter they sell a chemical that once applied to toilets and flushed down it settles on any plant roots obstructing the free pass of waste and kill them preventing them from invading the drain. it works greatly
Yes
Highly unlikely —- roots are tough duty.
It worked on mine—- been 2-3 years ago and I was just sooooo grateful not to require a plumber.
Yes. it is designed for use on main sewers
I used it on toilets and I thought it helped clear it.
I have used it in my toilets. adding about 1/4 - 1/2 cup sprinkled in the bowl and letting it sit for a couple of hours (to dissolve).. then flushing. Then Let that toilet sit at least overnight before using again. This products enzymes need time to work on what ever might be in the drains. I had had the same issue.. toilet would not flush DOWN but would not overflow the rim.. you could try plunging the dissolved product into the line as well, before flushing.. let it sit for a while then flush.
No, this will not harm your drains.
This product is safe for pipes——it is not caustic or acid—- the label does say keep out of eyes and not to drink. I leaned how powerful enzymes are working in a refinery 40 years ago. There were some ponds fed with enzymes to break down petroleum products. The enzymes “Eat” various types of matter.
