The EZ Top and Bottom Mount Kit are needed when an EZ Railing is cut into two separate sections. It includes two top rail and two bottom rail mounts that are identical to the mounts included with all EZ Handrail 1 sq. in. Baluster Kits. These mounts may be fastened to wood posts, concrete walls, and of course EZ Aluminum Posts using the included fasteners. A solid mounting surface is required for proper installation.

AnswerI believe you project will require eight of these kits which contain two top rail and two bottom rail brackets. However, please take into account that the EZ Handrail 6' and 8' kits come with two top rail and two bottom rail brackets. These brackets are only needed when you cut a railing section into two separate sections. I believe your stairs will require three pivot mount kits (model# EZPMB). Thank you for your question, Dan H.
