After contacting the vendor, from dealing with a rather needy client, we were able to find resolutions. However, as a pro contractor, I would not recommend a total DIY... there must be skill set.However, Dan Haul, a manufacturer rep handled my issues like a pro... I would definitely use this product again.

very sturdy, easy to install, looks good. recommend buying the slightly shorter one with the 36" ...

recommend buying the slightly shorter one with the 36" railing kit, this one is ~3 inches taller than it needs to be.
Some mounts were bent after shipping. Nothing major, just had to straighten as good as possible and shim with metal washers.
