A:  Hi kalley. Yes, you will want to purchase one of our 3"x3"x 38" EZ Posts and EZ Base Cover (EZPRBZ-W, EZBCBZ-LP). A:  Yes you can cut the rails to needed size and then space the panels by trimming the rubber gaskets. However if you want to decrease the spacing in the standard length then you will need one or more glass panels and some more rubber gaskets. You will have to see if these can be ordered separately. The position of the glass is not fixed by the rail. Only the gaskets. You could order an extra panel beyond what you need and cannibalize the parts but then you will have railing you don’t need. I am very happy with standard spacing. I have over 100 linear feet installed. Closer spacing would provide less view and more expense and glass to maintain.
