Product Details

EZ Top and Bottom Post Mounts are used for securing EZ Glass Handrail's top and bottom rails to any type of post or wall. Fasteners are included for attaching the mounts to wood, metal or concrete structures. A solid mounting surface is required. This add-on kit is only required when an EZ Handrail glass edition 6 ft. or 8 ft. kit is cut into two separate sections.
  • Includes two top rail mounting brackets, two bottom rail mounting brackets and fasteners
  • Specially designed with 0.25 in. notch to accept glass balusters

A:  Hi Charlie. You sure can purchase the top and bottom rails without glass at your local Home Depot Pro Desk. Either call or stop at the Pro Desk and ask them to lookup model# EZG600-NG or EZG800-NG in QuoteCenter. This kit includes the 2-pc top and bottom rails, mounting brackets for wood, metal, or concrete posts and all rubber pieces to lock in 1/4" thick tempered glass.     A:  Hi Nickelectro. The bracket profiles are the same, but the these mounts have additional notching to fit the glass rail extrusions. These mounts are compatible with the EZ Aluminum Baluster Railing Kits but not the EZTBPM2W's are not compatible with the EZ Glass Railing Kits. As always, appreciate your question. Dan H.         Excellent quality & craftsmanship. Packaged very well easy to assemble. All the pieces very sturdy & fit together perfectly. There are all sorts & sizes of fasteners to attach the posts to whatever surface you are attaching to. We were fastening to older precast concrete porch. Drilled out holes first as directed with properly sized concrete drill bit then used the long white screws. Due to concrete being slightly unlevel we shimmed one post with a square of 1/8" outdoor plastic from the side of an old swimming pool. Cut it to fit slightly smaller than post bottom and holes drilled in it before putting post on top. The posts have to be plumb & level or glass blisters don't set right in the railings. They were a little cock eyed before we fixed the one post. The railings go together just as easily. Just follow the included directions. Will go easier with 2 people assembling. One to hold pieces as other does drilling and fastening screws. Looks fantastic!

          First I must say there are not many parts to the EZ Rail Balusters that you can order separately. The Brackets for Upper and Lower Rails to Post came in a timely manner (impressed) and the color matched the Rail as well as 'fit and finish' matched the Brackets that came with original assembly.

          Was very easy to install and looked great. Took us a week on and off to install at 3 hours a day for 6 sections over 32 feet. So nice to be able to see the views and not feel caged in wooden rails. A contractor quoted 13 K for a different rail system VS 2500 and some time. You will have to invest in a good aluminum cutting blade which we bought for a mitre saw that cut the rails like butter. Make sure you test a panel of glass for proper height before you secure the upper rail so you can push it in and mount because you only Hak half inch of play. You can stay on measurement or take a pane but my skill set wasnt good enough to measure and screw in so I just used the glass loosely mounted before securing the rail.

          These are the correct post mounts for the Glass handrail...
          These are the correct post mounts for the Glass handrail kit, but the picture is incorrect. The glass handrail post mounts have a slot cut into them to allow the glass channel to fit to the post properly. The glass handrail kit itself is an incredible bargain for the money. Well designed and solid. Our deck has a 15 foot drop on one side, and this handrail kit is robust enough that we feel quite safe with it in place.
