This 2 in. x 2 in. aluminum post with dual screen channels is for additional horizontal or vertical support when constructing screen room walls. It is installed using Capri Clips sold separately. Additionally, using multiple 2 in. x 2 in. posts, a screen door frame can be constructed up to 8 ft. wide.

Q:What do I use to cover the end of my screen rail?

Answer This Question
A: Hello, Jara. As well-explained by Robert, EZ Screen system is engineered to install into existing structure.
The 1x2 open back extrusions frame the interior of an opening created by walls/posts and floor and ceiling and the 2x2 post extrusions divide that framed area. The 2x2 extrusions can divide horizontally or vertically or both. Our capri bracket clips are used to attach the divider posts within the framed area, so the ends are not exposed.
And all of that is to say, EZ Screen does not have end caps for the ends of the 2x2 extrusions!
If you wish to fashion an end, you might use expanding foam in the ends. Let it cure. Trim it even with the extrusion. Sand it slightly and then touch up the color with Behr Cracked Pepper to have it blend with your project.
Thank you!

A: Generally these are installed INSIDE a post and beam like structure in a way where no ends would be exposed. For example these 2x2 beams are used for POSTS the go from floor to roof and for a horizontal divider between the posts and so the ends would not be exposed. The 1x2 version is attached the existing structure like the TOP and wood posts. See installation guides for details.

Answer This Question
A: I'm not sure I understand. For most cases you will use the 2x2 with the double tracks for the top header. If this is a custom door and top header is all the way to top board, you can opt for the 1x2 or the 2x2 . The extra track doesnt matter how you use it. Take a look at the video on the product page, it gives you plenty of examples. Specifically at the 2 min mark is the door section example.

A: HI Bobo. No, we do not offer a 2x2 with only a single spline groove.
Thank you for your question.

EZ Install for a DIY'er !!
This product was easy to install as a DIY'er. I went to the website, (EZHandrail.com), typed my measurements into their easy to use materials calculator, sent a picture of my patio and a sketch with the measurements. Their REP Carrie called me, worked with me, discussed what I needed, and emailed the materials list straight to the Pro desk at Home Depot. I placed the order and shipping was very quick. I had some more questions for Carrie before I started and it was easy to get ahold of her. Her customer service was outstanding! If you watch the video on how to install it, it's pretty straight forward. A hammer drill is a must have to install on concrete and brick. (Drill the brick, not the mortar joints. The Tap Cons will work loose in the Mortar). ExtraBond 9500 Sealant, (Drk Brn), is a perfect color match to seal around the brick. I taped it off on both sides and used disposable plastic gloves to smooth it out. (very sticky. One glove per joint and dispose worked very well). Easy Install, low maintenance aluminum, 18x14 Phifer bug screen. Excellent customer service. Gorgeous. We couldn't be happier. Love Home Depot and Love this product.

Love our screened in porch
Very satisfied with this product. Home Depot assisted with order as I needed other lengths of the extrusions. I was able to complete the project in 3 days without issues. Getting a lot of compliments. I will definitely recommend this company.
