Let me say that I absolutely love these shelves! The first thing that I want to point out is that they are very easy to hang/install. They come with a wall template, but you won't even need it. The best way to install these are to assemble them first, then hang them. The rails fit very snug which is exactly what you want, but it will make if a bit harder to insert when already hanging from a wall. Once you hang these shelves and place the support brackets under it, they are very solid. I way over 200lbs and would feel safe sitting on these. The anchors that they give you are awsome and grab tight to the wall, and they even give you extra screws incase you strip one out. I would also suggest that you don't try to screw these into the studs. Yes....I said that. Once again, the wall anchors are all you need, and drilling into the studs would not only make it harder to install, but would propapbly won't be as solid. The other thing that really stood out to me is that these are adjustable in length . If you want to put them in a smaller room, just extend it out to where it fits and walls. Not to mention they come in many different colors, so room Decor should not make a difference. They are not bulky like many other shelves, so garage, laundry room or closet, they are just perfect. I am extremely happy with these shelves and 100% recommend these to anyone looking for a clean, sleek storage solution.

This EZ Shelf comes packaged in a manageable sized box and is lightweight. Box contains bag of parts (wall anchors, screws, nuts and bolts), 2 center brackets, 2 end brackets, and 5 expandable tubes. The pieces are easily identifiable, and they fit together easily. Installation took about 75 minutes…I did not watch the videos as recommended in the instructions but didn't make any costly mistakes, so I don't think watching the videos would have sped up the process. My shelf required the two end brackets because I was not using a side wall. To install, I first positioned one end bracket at the desired height, marked the holes, and drilled in the wall anchors. I used the bolts and nuts to attach the two pieces together that comprise the end bracket, and once done I screwed the end bracket into the installed wall anchors. My next step was to extend one tube pole to my desired length, position the end into the installed and bracket, and then I placed the other end into the second end bracket, held it up to the wall, used a level to ensure the pole was level, and then I marked the screw holes for the second end bracket. Repeated the steps to attach this end bracket to the wall. Once done, I positioned one tube pole into place on both end brackets and tightened the tube securely. Then I placed one inner support bracket on the wall with the pole securely in the groove, and marked my holes. Repeated with the second inner bracket (be sure neither inner bracket is on the tube extension joint). Once holes were marked, I drilled in the wall anchors and then screwed the inner support brackets into place. Last step was to position the remaining tube poles into place, securely pushing the tubes into each end bracket and then tightening the tubes within the extension joints. All in all, not a challenging installation but since I was positioning the shelf about 14" down from the garage ceiling, it took a bit of time going up and down the ladder repeatedly. The shelf packaging indicates it can hold up to 200 pounds, so it is suitable as a garage shelf where you want to store heavy items. However, I would not recommend it for storing lightweight items because of the price - I believe there are plenty other less costly options for lighter items. And personally, I would rather purchase a shelving solution that allows me to have adjustable shelf heights in case my needs change in the future, such as wire shelving with brackets that snap into wall tracks.

I was looking to install some shelving in the garage above an existing shelf. This product seemed to fit the project, as the shelf is expandable up to 75" and my existing shelf was about 70". The instructions were clear and they also provided links to watch instructional videos. I didn't need to watch the videos and just went by the written instructions. Total time to put the shelf up was about 1 hour. The instructions also come with templates for the pieces that attach to the wall, so you could drill pilot holes that were even and level. The wall anchors were really easy to use; just screw them into the sheetrock with a drill. They went in with very little initial pressure and felt solid. Measuring probably took the most time, as you want everything to be level. Everything else went lickety split; just attach the brackets to the anchors with screws, put the rods in place, and finally install the middle support bracket (or 2). I'm super happy as to how it looks and its functionality. The one minor gripe I had was with the end bracket - the way the screw holes were positioned, I could not use my drill to secure the screws all the way. I had to finish with a screwdriver. But, it didn't take long and was just a minor annoyance. I suppose if you have a really long bit, it could be done. The shelf is rated up to 200 lbs, I assume with using both middle support brackets provided. I used one bracket but the shelf is proving very sturdy for holding random garage stuff.

EZ Shelf I enjoyed seeing a nice product go together quickly. The only things that is wrong with this garage shelving unit is that if you do land on a wall stud they do not supply screws for that (just in case) and the connecting bolts are ¼ inch to long with no cover cap to hide them (cheap looking). These both could have been quick and easy fixes at the manufacturing level. This was a flawless application after reading to familiarize myself with this product. This unit is a 5 STAR for sure, many options here, connecting additional units, around corners and so on. You could really make a large closet look nice with this product.

OVERALL: Surprised by how strong the unit was once installed. Looks good in a garage setting, and I would think most closets, not a living room shelf for most. Easy install, 32 screws in wall. Very nice shelf. INSTALLATION: Bolt the end pieces together, then screw to the wall. Of course leveling is a plus! The bracket screw holes were a little wide for exposed wall studs. If you are installing into drywall they include a very strong anchor set. I recommend installing end brackets first, then putting up bars, then the middle brackets. Makes alignment easy. APPEARANCE: Very nice. They mechanism for the poles is like an extendable mop handle, not too obtrusive. The brackets to have a bit of a dull plastic look, more so than the nice shiny bars. I am happy with how they look in my garage. ADJUSTMENTS: Easy to adjust. Just twist the pole one way to loosen to expand/contract, the other to tighten. Anyone could do it.

I have seldom seen such a poor design from Home Depot. This was an immediate return.

Easy to install and met all my needs. Ordered more shelves because they were so easy to install.

I put these in my shop and they are great. I enjoy open shelves so that I can occasionally use my leave blower to blow the saw dust out. The shelves are very easy and straight forward to install. I'd say the only con to these is that the holes for the screws in the holes are too far apart. A typical stud is 1.5" wide right? The holes are almost exactly 1.5" wide. I.E. if you put the screws in straight into studs, they would either hit the stud only on one side, or both would hit the very edge of the stud and not go in. So I had to sink both sides in at an angle towards each other for them to all hit the stud. Aside from that they are adjustable for width. That's why it says 40-75in. They can be any width between. Love em. recommend them.
