  • Simple vent kit included in purchase price
The EZ Tankless NG 4.4 GPM, 87,500 BTU Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater is designed to supply continuous hot water for up to 2 bathrooms at the same time. It heats water only when it's needed and features a 0.88 energy factor. It utilizes a digital thermostat that can be easily set by any member of the house. This heater's direct-vent design utilizes a stainless steel concentric vent (included in purchase price) and allows for a very easy installation with horizontal venting. This model can be used at elevations up to 9,840 ft. above sea level.
  • A 4.4 GPM tankless water heater at a 35°F temperature rise can provide enough hot water for up to a 2 bath home
  • Natural gas tankless water heaters offer the less expensive operating cost verse electric water heaters
  • No stand-by energy loss or recovery time necessary; a tankless water heater heats water as it passes through a heat exchanger eliminating the need to continuously reheat a tank of water
  • 5 year warranty on heat exchanger and 1 year limited-warranty on parts
  • Energy factor is 0.88
  • Standard concentric vent system (collar, elbow, and 18-3/4 in. termination) is free of charge; additional components may be purchased at minimal cost
  • Due to intake air flowing through the outer chamber, the exterior surfaces of the flue are cooled by the incoming combustion airflow; in addition to a much cooler flue pipe exterior, the intake air is taken from outside the home
  • Please note: this heater must vent horizontally (typically through an exterior wall); with this simple system, there is no need for a roof rain cap, complicated condensation drain, anti-freeze/back-draft trap door, or room air cubic feet calculations
  • Low water pressure ignition; the heater can function at water pressure as low as 8 psi; making this unit suitable for users living at high altitude or those using well water with older or less powerful pumping systems
  • Key-touch water temperature settings and on-off switch with easy to understand advanced technology display
  • Electronic control system via computer chip is advanced and extremely reliable; this "no pilot light" design is safe and convenient, using automatic ignition to further your energy savings
  • Aesthetically pleasing and simple-small design features make this unit easy to use and install as well as unobtrusive if located within view of working or living spaces

Can this direct vent heater be installed in a bathroom since it uses combustion air from outside?
Asked by: offgridguy
I bought this item and all my questions we answered by the customer service rep from the company. I installed it in a closet, on an outside wall for the venting. The footprint is fairly small so the should be plenty of options as long as you direct vent to the outside. You can go to the website and get a copy of the installation manual prior to purchase, that might give you more answers.

I have this heater in my cabin. How do I get it ready for winter as we don’t go to cabin in wi term and we have water turned off
Asked by: Mom
It would depend on how you winterize the rest of the water lines in your cabin.if you blow the lines out with compressed air you would do the same with the heater by blowing the hot water lines out at all the faucets.if you manually drain the lines by opening drain valves it is best to have drain valves installed under the heater where the hot and cold water lines enter the heater and drain the heater from there

I want to heat a hot tub by recirculating the water though this heater using a submersible pump; will it work?
Asked by: JAMES
Sorry that will not work. This heater requires a min. of 30 psi. water pressure to work.Your recirc system you describe would not provide any actual water pressure to the unit.

After fighting with a poorly made Eccotemp for 9 months it quit working altogether. I ordered this as a replacement because I got no help from Eccotemp. This unit is amazing ! It worked perfectly the first time I tried it and perfectly every time since. The only adjustment needed was a couple degrees hotter.

Can't change reading to farenheit, everything's in Celsius. Owner's manual sucks. Not very happy with it so far, hopefully it'll get better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Water Heater for Tiny Home/Cabin We bought this water heater for a tiny home we were building. We were looking for a high efficiency tankless unit that also was small in the space needed for install. This unit fit the bill perfectly. It was a super simple installation with the included vent kit. We were up and running in just over an hour. I don't even have to recommend this unit to the other tiny home enthusiasts that stop by, they always end up asking me about it. Great product!

The Quick Response: A great DIY hot water solution that 1) Performed as expected, 2) Easy installation and 3) Fantastic technical support. The Real DIY Response: First go to a qualified commercial propane dealer that understands proper sizing of a regulator for this product, and take the product documentation. DO NOT ASSUME YOU KNOW THE ANSWER unless it is your profession. A good dealer will get you the correct regulator, fittings and piping. Box stores aren't in the business, sorry! Next go to a qualified plumbing supply business to get an adapter kit with correct connections for a tankless water heater. Yes, I did get a kit that actually said it was for tankless water heater. Now plan your work and take your time. Use good gas and water joint tape. Read and re-read the product documentation. Call tech support! A real person will likely answer the phone on the 1st ring. Now tell them what you are doing, and they will tell you all about the installation process. They will talk with you as long as you need. Propane line: Take your time and leak test. This was the easiest part of the installation. I'm not going to put in stuff about venting, you can figure it out, and then call tech support. However, I will tell you more about my experience once it was time to TURN IT ON. However, do read the documentation many times. Water line connections: Two photos attached of close-up valve connections. The photos will tell you about the intricate connections. Don't install the valves UPSIDE DOWN (I did initially). Don't lose those gaskets (I did twice). Two times I had everything connected, then looked down to see gaskets lying on the floor! Oops, time to start again. In and Out water connections are a bit delicate in my opinion, so be careful. CONSIDER HAVING A 2ND PERSON FOR THIS JOB. Once I got help, things went better. Still on water connections: Use high-end joint tape, not the cheap stuff. We probably re-did my entire water connection 4 times before we got all leaks to stop. Propane line: I did it along and no problems. Got everything connected? Now turn on the cold water (no need to have power to the unit). I actually isolated the water heater from the cabin for testing, which worked very good. Everything water-tight? Let's start it up. How To Start? Turn it on, set temp to 45-48 C and pretty much forget it. Draw water on your test hose (not full blast), and you will get hot water very soon. Still lots more to learn! Shower Time! Turn it on, and within a short time you will have HOT WATER! YOUR DONE. Lesson learned from Tech Support: 45-48C will solve most hot water demand needs. We are now set at 50C and hot as we want in the shower. I still need to see what happens when I dial it down to 48C and maybe even 45C. According to Tech Support, it should be fine. LAST WORDS: We are in Sterling, Alaska with well water temp about 38-40F in the summer. Dave
