Can this stain be used to stain my white pool plaster to a darker color? Is it reasonably resistant to pool chemicals?
    BySep 30, 2025
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

Material made with cement should theoretically produce color with our Acid Stain. We recommend performing a test area to see how the stain reacts and to make sure it does not damage your plaster.

One and a half years ago I stained my den with the wheat stain and sealed it with the eagle sealer. It looked really good. Now it looks aweful. What procedure would I have to do to redo it with another coat or two of the same stain?
          ByDec 29, 2024
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Depending on what sealer was used, you should be able to clean your surface, let it dry, and re-seal with the same product used before. If you used a solvent based sealer, the sealer will melt back into itself and should be no problem. Water based sealers are applied in layers and usually last about 2-3 years, so it may not be time for another application just yet. Prep is Key!
I just finished acid etching a concrete barndominium floor, and using only Eagle products, it came out great. The key is to NOT scrimp on the elbow grease. Check out this link: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdkGbAiQFSM" I did exactly what this guy did, and the info was spot on.

had some trouble with this product
I followed all directions. Cleaned my concrete floor with eagle degreser then etched it with eagle etcher and I applied my stain. Was super stoked it looked amazing but when it came time to clean the residue after 12 hours of sitting on the concrete the stain here i am brushing away the stain… its a hassle. am I doing something wrong?

Used as directed however on 4 week old concrete you will get less coverage than stated. After 6 hours of wait time most of the color will wash away if you do any scrubbing with a broom while neutralizing and a strong nozzle flow of water will cut paths in the color. If you want to maintain the dark color be careful to flow the neutralizer and water over the stain. My thoughts are that a stain should actually pernitrate and be permanent. I don't think it was worth the money and time to do the job.

Product worked great. You must overly clean the floor and make sure your humidity and temperature levels are acceptable. Do not use a brush to neutralize unless you want to lighten up the stain as this will without a doubt ruin your results. Product worked great and everyone really likes the results.
