Eagle Acid Stains create marbled variations of color on cured concrete by chemical reaction with the minerals in the concrete. Every concrete floor will react with its own unique pattern. Once sealed with clear sealer, your floor will pop with an elegant look. Acid staining is a tedious process. Eagle concrete dyes should be considered if a simple process is important.

Terrible!
Followed instructions, even called the number for help. Total waste of time, money and then more money to resurface the cement. Used product on new cement. See before/during/after pics! Rustic, turned out orange. Bought Cocoa to add brown. Horrible!

    Acid Stain Basement
I followed the directions exactly using the "system" of degreaser, etching, stain, sealer, and polish, and had very good results. The key is multiple moppings for cleanup between steps. Don't let acid pool at all anywhere and extend drying times between coats of sealer and polish. So far very happy with results. Good customer service if you have questions.

This product worked as advertised. Stained my front and back concrete porches. I'm very pleased with the results. 10/10 would recommend. After two coats of this stain, I used this to seal it: Eagle 5 gal. Clear Coat High Gloss Oil-Based Acrylic Topping Over Solid Sealer

I used this product to stain concrete stepping stones that I formed and poured. This was the lightest color that Eagle sold and I wanted my stones to have a river rock appearance. I used a pump up hand sprayer to apply the stain. Colors came out great.

        Cocoa Interior Floor Staining
From start to finish it takes about 2-3 days depending on the size of the area and how much cleanup you have to do prior to beginning the process. It is a lot of work and a lot of water, but as long as you follow all the directions step for step and remain consistent, you will be very pleased. This was my first time using acid stain and I stained around 1000 square feet.

Nothing about this worked as expected unfortunately. Their instructions were followed precisely, it went on nice and smooth and looked great while it was still wet. Then it dried (after neutralized and heavily rinsed), and it looks like random spots of sand on concrete. I did a second coat, and no change. I worked with their tech support, but they had no solutions just guesses on how the concrete was poured, suggested that the only thing I could do is to give up and use a dye. Threw away a couple hundred dollars on this, and way too much time in prep and handling acid in the house. I recommend skipping this and looking elsewhere.

NOT FOR BROOM FINISH CONCRETE. This product takes a lot of careful prep and rinsing then sealing. I have used it on smooth troweled concrete (garages) before with success, but lots of work. When I used it on broom finish concrete after the test patch came out ok, I was extremely disappointed. This stain should not be used on rough concrete as the results are not predictable. It turned our new concrete porch and steps a dirty brown and black and was blotchy and uneven. It made it look like it was 70 years old and mildewed. I had to rewash with acid and use a primer and solid stain to cover the concrete in a different color. I was very disappointed in this product and would advise never to use it on broom finished concrete!
