Came out nice and dark--good for passive solar thermal mass
I was upset at first--the color did not look anywhere near black. But as soon as the sealant was on it darkened to satisfaction. Make sure you spray a light coat of sealant on first so the color won't come up when you roll on the sealant. Be VERY careful opening the bottle--they're filled to the rim--so don't poke your finger through like I did!

Should be called Gray Orchid
I did one coat that looked black until it dried and absorbed into the concrete then it was a gray purplish color. Would like to have done 2nd coat but my concrete guy told me more layers might inhibit the sealer that I was going to put on. I think it would have been fine. The sealer absorbed just fine. Luckily I dont mind the gray color. Easy to mix and apply.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, "Thank you for your business! Your are correct, another coat most likely would have given you the black you desired. The Interior Dye is a semi transparent so depending on application and how much water is used to dilute can change the color. Your concrete man is correct in that if you go to heavy and apply more product than can be absorbed into the concrete you can leave particles on the surface. We recommend going over the surface with a dry micro fiber pad after the dye is dry to pick up any loose particles. Doing a test spot before the job will also let you know if you will need one coat or more to get you the desired color. Thanks again for using our product. Eagle Co.
