Why can the pump only run for 20 minutes?
The EccoFlo pump does not have a 20-minute shut-off timer nor are the recent/new CSA-approved Eccotemp L10s. What is meant by 35�F rise? Is that 35� above inlet water temperature? 40� water will heat to 75� max?
Hello Chris. Yes, you're correct. That would be an increase of 35F to the inlet/incoming water temp. The maximum temperature rise depends on the incoming water temp. The colder the incoming water temperature is, the less likely it will hit your desired temp at high GPMs (flow). The slower the water flow is going through the unit, the hotter temperature it can achieve.
What is the Lift of the pump?
Hello Chris. The EccoFlo pump is capable of a 6ft. (1.8m) vertical prime. Horizontal inlet tubing will allow priming to 30ft (9m). The pump can be installed at the same level or below the water tank. It may also be positioned above the water tank if needed. ~Team Eccotemp
We purchased the unit with 12volt pump for off grid, we are using rain barrels for water source. The hose from rain barrel to pump n hose to unit is still leaking. We used teflon tape what would you recommend to stop leaking?

There is a gas hose included in the Eccotemp L5 (pump bundle) to connect to a 20-lb propane tank. You will need to purchase the hoses for the EccoFlo 12-volt pump. ~Team Eccotemp
what is the duty cycle of this pump?

Give me an idea how much propane this unit uses. How often will I have to change out the propane tank?

We may not have an accurate computation on gas usage of this heater however, on regular 2-time 15-20 mins showers a day, a 20lbs tank may last for 8-10 hours or so and will really depend on how you use it every day.
