Q:We purchased the unit with 12volt pump for off grid, we are using rain barrels for water source. The hose from rain barrel to pump n hose to unit is still leaking. We used teflon tape what would you recommend to stop leaking?

Worked as advertised. Put the heater and the pump close to the spa and turned it on. Spa pump and heater would take 2 days to heat up to 104 degrees. The Eccotemp and pump had it 106 degrees in 4 hours. Great use for a great product bundle

Never got to work
Never got the system to work, once project was completed hooked up the heater did not work. Internal items leaking and spraying water. Wouldn't you know outside or warrant had to eat $400 such a waste.

I am actually currently printing my receipt to return this unit. When it worked, it was great, but I needed tech support when it stopped working, and after 2 weeks of "tech support", I've decided to go with another brand's product rather than deal with the Eccotemp technicians. John was pretty tough to deal with from the beginning, when we spent 30 minutes on the phone and he made assumptions about me and my tools without asking any questions, and now, after follow up emails asking me to repeat the exact same troubleshooting steps a week later, including steps not applicable to the unit I have, and refusing to escalate after multiple rounds of these repetitive repair suggestions, I am no longer interested in owning a device from Eccotemp.
