Light, bright & very complimentary!
My husband wanted white curtains to cover the windows in our sunroom. We have 13 windows. I found and purchased these for privacy, blackout options and they also help with thermal heating. We love them. They're heavy duty meaning they stay in place, easy to slide open and close and really compliment our sunroom. I'm so happy with my choice. When you first install them, give them several days to let the wrinkles straighten out. They will. I know we're going to enjoy these for years to come.

The coated curtain reacts with direct sunlight smells horrible
It stinks when it's exposed to window with sunlight. Smells chemical that gave everybody in the house a headache. Terrible smell that made me removed and wrapped it as fast as i can and through in the garbage. This is only good for the windows that are not exposed to direct sunlight. The first week i hang it was okay, but then the ruberry coat at the back slowly reacts from sunlight, the foul smell start showing and getting worse and worse everyday. It leave me no choice but to take it down..i tried washing it hoping for the smell to disappear, still smells the same..so frustrating and a waste of money $16 a panel only end up in the garbage. I just called this to Home Depot today..not for refund but to aware everybody about this blackout curtains.

Does Not Keep Light Out
After having to thumb tack each side down because light was escaping from
all four sides, I still cannot manage to have my room as dark as I would like it. Unfortunately this wakes me up very early and keeps me up... I’m not sure why the curtains do not fall in a way that keeps light out.

98% Blackout?? You've Got to be Kidding
The package says "block light" and "98% Blackout". That is NOT TRUE for these. The scale on the packages says:
- Light Filtering
- Room Darkening
- 98% Blackout (what these claim to be)
- 100% Blackout
In the store they look to be a nice neutral beige. But with the sun coming through them they are yellow. Where the fabric is doubled over at the top and bottom you could maybe claim light filtering. If the light transmission claims are so far off, makes you wonder how valid the "Thermal back "energy saving" coating is?

These curtains do the job. They are true to color...
These curtains do the job. They are true to color and black out all the light. They are a bit stiff but I credit that to their ability to black everything out. I was able to remove the wrinkles by washing them on delicate and hang drying them. They have made a huge difference in my bedroom, which is located where the sun sets.
