Q:Is the installation hardware metal or plastic? Tried Vigoro brand which comes with extremely light duty plastic stakes, they are not nails, and should not be called 'hardware'. They break very easily even when gently using a mallet.

Excellent!
I installed about 100’ of this around my Rock Garden and it worked perfectly. There were several bends and it installed easily and hasn’t moved in two years.

I'm really happy with the way this product looks, and how easy it was to install in my yard. Cutting the corners was the most difficult part, but after the first few corners I got the hang of it and it came out looking great. Other then that it was very easy to install and looks way better then any other edging products I've seen on the market. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Landscape Edging For Slackers
I purchased the edging online because the stores did not have the profile I wanted. I picked up the pallet of edging in store utilizing my compact car. There were 36, 4ft. pieces that the helpful home depot people helped me load. After clearing the debris out of the flower gardens my wife and I began laying the edging. We started at a corner by mitering two pieces to see how that would work. The miter took some time due to handsaw technique. However, the result was better than I could imagine. We laid approximately 16 of the edging pieces down with little difficulty. There was an occasional rock under ground that a stake would find but the edging has several holes to choose from so we found stable anchoring for all of the pieces. The edging works great around corners making smooth turns and lays over uneven ground making the task that much easier. We still have about 20 more pieces to put down but it looks great and worth every dollar.

Excellent Value for this Product
This is an excellent product for the price. I am pleased with the final results and appreciate that it's environmentally friendly. The only drawback is that it's extremely difficult to create sharp curves without breaking the section in two. Even carrying a section with one hand can break the piece. Other than that, it's fantastic and looks great..

Good Product
Very good product, the only down fall is when you order online, they only provide half of the nails to install, Their theory is that you only have to put one nail every other hole for straight runs, I found that this is not good, you end up with sways in the edging, I had mostly curves and I needed a nail in every hole, so I had to go back to the store and get a box of 10" galvanized nails to finish the job.
They need to provide a nail for each hole, They don't know your each application, so how can they determine that you only need half the nails?

Turned out better than expected
While the product looks better installed than advertised, the strength and quality is not as good as advertised, other than that, I am extremely happy with the product and will purchase another pallet or 2 !!! Installation was literally a snap, a full pallet of 36 pieces took roughly an hour to install including cutting four corner pieces at 45 degree angles !I love this stuff !!!!
