Hello, The fixture includes a small hex key in the installation package, which is recommended for installation and removal of the faceplate. If the tool is lost, a 1.5mm hex key (Allen wrench) can be used as a replacement.
Thank you for your interest in the Edvivi Hardwired Motion Sensing LED Stair Light! Yes, this light is compatible with a single gang box. The required depth from the wall is approximately 0.9 inches (23 mm). Most standard single gang boxes with a depth of around 1.5 inches (38 mm) will be suitable for installation. However, if extra space is needed for wiring or if you're working in a more confined area, we recommend using a deeper box (2 inches or 50 mm). If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.
No. There are no adjustable modes available.
This is unlikely to work with a dimmer. These lights with built in sensors or smart features are designed for standard on-off switches or no switch at all. When you dim, you are lowering the voltage, and it is causing the "brains" to fail.
Most LED lights are not dimmable. So without dimming them you may be able to install a dedicated switch in parallel so you can control this light separately
