All of our Lifetime Vinyl Shutters are approximately 1/8" thick.
Why do these Louvered Shutters have wood grain on one side only
Louvered Lifetime shutters are purely intended to be decorative and should be installed with the wood grain facing outward. The back of the shutters is hollow, which allows for easier installation while still maintaining a realistic wood-grain appearance on the visible side without sacrificing looks.
Are these shutters paintable?
The Vinyl Shutters that are colored have UV Inhibitors that will resist paint from sticking to them. If you will be painting your Vinyl Shutters, you will want to select the "Paintable" option.
How many screws do you put in a 72“ x 14 1/2 shutter… is it top ,,,middle and bottom? Or just top and bottom.
For shutters with a height of 43” or less, you should use 4 fasteners per shutter—one at the top, one at the bottom, and two in the middle. For shutters over 44” in height, like your 72” x 14 1/2” shutter, 6 fasteners are required. These should be placed at the top, middle, and bottom for secure installation.
