My Ekena shutters are thermal green. What paint code is that for Behr or Sherwin Williams? Since they are already mounted, I can't easily take them down to match. Any ideas?

Is this shutter material solid cellular PVC? Or a lesser vinyl type?
For our True Fit shutters, we use expanded cellular PVC material.

What sheen do you recommend if painting pre-primed shutters?
While the shutters come pre-primed and ready for paint, the best sheen for your shutters depends on the look you're going for and the location: * **Gloss:** Offers maximum durability and is easiest to clean, making it suitable for high-traffic areas or places exposed to the elements. However, it will highlight any imperfections on the shutter surface. * **Semi-Gloss:** A good balance between durability and a subtle shine. It's also easier to clean than lower sheens. * **Satin:** A popular choice for shutters due to its soft sheen and good durability. It offers some cleanability while still hiding minor imperfections. * **Eggshell:** Has a very low sheen, similar to a flat finish but with slightly better durability and cleanability. * **Flat:** Not typically recommended for shutters as it's not very durable and can be difficult to clean. It's best suited for areas that don't experience much wear and tear.
Do the painted shutters fade? I have direct sun most of the day where these would be installed.
We use a high-quality UV-resistant paint, but we cannot guarantee that painted shutters will not fade over time in direct sunlight. Please note that we highly discourage installing dark-colored PVC shutters in areas with full sun exposure, as they WILL warp under those conditions.
Would an oil-based paint be a good choice to paint these?

Once priming is finished, we recommend painting the product with a good quality, vinyl safe 100% acrylic latex paint.
Can I mount your Ekena Millwork PVC shutters on my existing bracket hinges so the shutters open and close? Does "functional" mean the shutters open and close - or at least swing back and forth thus needing the S brackets to hold them in place?
Thank you for your interest in our product! These shutters are designed for a fixed mount installation, and would not be ideal to install on functional shutter hinges. They are generally installed using fixed mount hardware, or by screwing into the face of the shutters.
I am going to be mounting these using screws and no brackets, what is the recommended screw size and type to mount to vinyl siding?
