AnswersHDMI 2.0 didn't specifically add a new cable performance specification. There is an official "Premium High Speed" certification test for higher bit rates.

Got the snowies and difficulty handshaking from GTX 1080 to receiver
Had to turn on / off the home theater receiver about 9 times to finally get a handshake. Once it did the picture had crazy interference. This was supposed to replace a 50 ft HDMI cable that had some interference but it wasn't nearly as bad as this 25 ft cable. Home Depot accepted the return and I bought a new thicker 25 ft cable off the shelf which works perfectly. Thank goodness Home Depot has great customer service.
