Bolt that holds ruler in constantly breaks
It is made from some cheap metal. Ruler use to be great it is now garbage

I almost cried when I dropped my 40 year old combination square and broke it. I said to myself, surely I will never be able to replace it with something made as well this this old unit. Boy was I wrong. I am happy, happy, happy.

Did you know 16 is bigger than 12
I have to say, I'm used to using a 12" square and it's nice to have a little bit extra room to play with. Build quality is good and I have no doubt this will last a long time. If I was going to make one suggestion it would be for the edges of the blade to be a bit more finished. A nice straight edge is great but it borders on sharp. This would still make a great addition to any tool bag.

Time for a new one
The combination square from my Great Uncle was getting very hard to read due to rust. This new square works just as good as the old one, but now I can see the smallest lines.

This combination square is definitely high quality and works well...
This combination square is definitely high quality and works well so far but I have noticed the marks are starting to fade and you can only use 14” accurately of this 16” combo square do to how the lock is designed. Happy with it even with its flaws.
