Putting fence posts in, you want them to be in a straight line. This line and reel were a good investment. It fits in my tool belt or tool bag very easy and the locking tabs for the string keep it from coming unrolled where ever it is stored. The high visibility of the line saved my neck more than once. The line is strong enough to hold a 4" x 4" pole leaning against it when the pole is in the hole waiting to be cemented. The free wheeling spindle is also a plus when you are walking along so the line feeds freely out. It is a good weight of cord so it doesn't break every time a strain is put on it. Worst string line I’ve ever used. I don’t do reviews, but it sticks so bad I had to warn you. Unravels at end, too slick to get good tension. Junk. I only gave it one star because I had to give minimum one to

Picked it up to help evaluate and level the yard for a playset. It worked out really well. I put the stakes in the ground at the corners then wrapped this and ran it around to mark out a rectangle - the reel was a great help here. I looped the cord and stuck the handle in the ground. Very handy. The line level went on the line no problem and the line itself held tight when I needed it to.
