Yes. I have several solar lights and these batteries work just fine. They get recharged with the sun light and usually last for quite awhile.

I use these outside for my patio lights my rechargeable patio light and it gets up to a hundred degrees out there and they've done great because I actually have to have the solar panels out in the sun so I'm sure they get hotter than that in the black case there in.
I measured these exact batteries and they measure 2" long. I also held one of these and an old alkaline battery in my hand, for comparison, and they are the same size. I have been using these for several years in everything in my house that needs batteries (remotes, trimmers, xbox controllers, flashlights, etc...) and have never had any issues. They work great.
