It's a small heater so don't expect it to heat a room. It's a personal heater to be used next to you, and there are smaller ones. The heat is comfortable and cozy if you use it to warm your cold feet instantly. It can't warm your whole body all at once. The noise is a bit loud for the size. It's comparable to those square box fans. It is not annoying but not suitable for quiet reading, and not that good for watching TV unless the volume is high. The noise is perhaps because of the sturdy plastic enclosure. The plastic case seems to be well made and nice to the touch. The heater is fully enclosed by grills, by design they defuse the air. So, it's not like you have a small and powerful fan hitting you straight with a stream of air. It is apparently fairly safe. You are isolated from the heating element and electricity. If you lift the fan up or topple it, it will stop by the safety switch.

We ordered this heater to use in our rv while camping. It is small and compact, not taking up much room. It appears to be made of a good grade of plastic with a metal fan blade. You can use it as a small fan or heater with three heat settings along with an energy saving mode. There is also a thermostat that will let the heater cycle on and off. It has an auto shutoff switch if it tips over. We are using it in our bathroom in the house right now. It’s great for a small bathroom.

Compact heater with a lot of features. My home office space gets chilly and this Comfort Zone Electric Furnace is a great help. It is a nice size so not in the way. I love the features- adjustable thermostat, fan only, three heat settings so that you can set it to your preference. Also greta is the safety tip over switch, if I lifted the heater off the floor it shut off right away - always a good thing to have.

Comparative Review between Comfort Zone CZ442E (model being evaluated) and Comfort zone CZ35EBK (...
Comparative Review between Comfort Zone CZ442E (model being evaluated) and Comfort zone CZ35EBK (also sold by HomeDepot) Both heaters cost within $1 of each other: $25.97 for the CZ442E and $26.99 for the DZ35EBK Both have the same two control knobs w/settings: (1) Fan Only, 750W, 1500W, "Eco" mode, and (2) Adjustable Thermostat Knobs for the CZ442E are on the Front, toward the bottom... on the Top for the CZ35EBK Both have same plunger-type "Tip Over" safety switch that cuts off the power if they aren't sitting securely upright on a flat surface. Safety (other): The CZ442E enclosure has a plastic grille on the front, while the CZ325EBK has an expanded metal (mesh) grille that becomes Hot to the touch... (maybe not hot enough to burn skin... not sure about a baby's sensitive skin... but hot enough to be a surprise). SIZE: the CZ442E is about 1/3 wider; both models are the same depth and height. NOISE: the CZ442E seems Quieter; has a lower frequency sound (similar to old fashioned oscillating fans); the CZ35EBK has a higher-pitched "whooshing" sound -- due to the more restricted air flow through its car radiator-like heating element (which has a 'fanfold' arrangement of flat metal fins) AIR FLOW: the CZ442E, in my judgment, has a better air flow (due primarily to it's design, where the heating element is a loosely wound coil of round wire). Ease of Moving the Heater: the CZ442E is the winner with it's Loop style handle on top; the CZ35EBK has a smallish (shallow) pocket-style handle, which I found would slip out of my grasp too easily (making it more prone to being dropped, which would break it); so, I put (3) peel-and-stick 1/4" vinyl bumpers on the handle to provide a better grasp (see Photo) BOTTOM LINE: The Comfort Zone CZ442E is the WINNER, base on it being easier to move (loop handle), somewhat better air flow (possibly heating the room more quickly), No Hot Surfaces, and (in my view) a less-noticeable, lower frequency Noise.

Good little portable heater. Lightweight and so easy to move from room to room with the convenient built in handle. It has four settings fan only, low, high and energy saver. I prefer the high setting but I do feel that to feel the heat it needs to be pretty close to you. I have it about 2-3 feet away and the air feels cool not hot until I move my hand about 8” from it. I believe my room is getting warmer perhaps I shouldn’t have it directly facing me but when I’m cold I want to feel it on me. One nice feature is the energy saver but when I used it I felt too cool. It also automatically shuts off should it fall over or on its side. It’s not going to heat up your room nice and toasty but if I keep it on the floor by my legs it should do the trick.

The COMFORT ZONE ENERGY SAVE 5120 BTU FAN HEATERS ELECTRIC FURNACE WITH ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT, in BLACK is a very nice heater. It is small enough to fit on tables or desks and heat can be controlled nice with thermostat and volume control. The fan spreads the heat nicely. We have several larger electric heaters in our house and this puts out as much heat. It is a very nice heater and is energy saving.

Comfort Zone heater are really our favorite. We have a few around the house and now we got this one in black, they also come in white. I use one in the garage and my wife will use one in the kitchen just to heat the room up a little. We love them, I also use one in our chicken coop, it works well in the winter to keep our chickens warm, I secure it, but what is really nice about their heaters is they have tip over switches which will shut the unit down right away if they are tipped over. Multiple heat settings and adjustable speeds for the fan. The housing is really nice as well as it does not get hot . We love these little heaters.

I'm guessing that I got a defective product based on the reviews of other people. My unit is loud - like a lawn mower in my house loud. My guess is that the fan is out of alignment and the blade is hitting against something inside the casing. It does put out good heat and has variable controls for both temperature and fan speed. And it does turn off if lifted or tipped - it has a sensor on the bottom that must be pushed in for it to operate. If it were quieter, I think it would be a pretty good little heater, but as it was received, not so much.

Hello HomeDepotCustomer, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with your Comfort Zone heater. This heater should emit a low hum, as the internal fan spins. If you think your fan could be misaligned, that could possibly cause the loud noise you have described. Your heater comes with a 1-year limited warranty. Please contact Bed Bath & Beyond's customer service team regarding your heater. If you have any issues please contact our consumer service team at 609-860-9990. Thank you, Comfort Zone Consumer Support Team

Great little heater for the bathroom. It's so much nicer to have a warm bathroom when you go to take a shower and get out of the shower on these cold days of winter. Set the thermostat to the temperature that you want, come back a few minutes later and the bathroom is warm enough to take your shower. Turn it off until it's time to take the next shower. Temperature is already set, just turn it on and give it time to warm the room.

This compact space heater, manufactured by Comfort Zone, would be perfect for a smaller bedroom, bathroom or office space. It's rated @ 5120 BTU and features an adjustable thermostat, 3 heat levels (low, high & energy saver) and a separate fan only setting. For safety purposes it has a built-in overheat sensor and a switch that turns the unit off if tipped over. In addition, it has a convenient built-in carrying handle. The case is black to blend with nearly any decor. It easily keeps a smaller room comfortable during colder weather....a good addition to your home, apt or office!
