The Squids 3011 Retractable Tool Lanyard is a lightweight and extremely durable tethering solution designed to mount to a D-ring user's belt or a separate anchor point. Using a retractable lanyard limits potential snag hazards compared to standard lanyards. This lanyard can tether tools weighing 0.5lbs / 0.23kg in a retracted state and prevents tools weighing 8lbs / 3.6 kg from falling on people or objects below when working at-heights. The retractable tethering cord is made of high-strength, cut-resistant Dyneema with a protective sleeve over the exposed cord to reduce wear and tear for a longer life. Tested and qualified to the ANSI/ISEA 121 standard, these retractable tool lanyards have no equal.

Robust tool support
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this when I’m up high and need to secure my tools to me. I attached my drill holder to it and I never had to worry about it falling again. The clasps are strong enough and easy to operate. I like the idea of the locking mechanism. That way it never falls to the ground. Very handy to have and I would recommend this to anyone.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this one. My only problem with it is the lock button/switch. It's a little touchy and not 100% reliable but still very good tool safety.

      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start off I have a 3.5 star rating for the fact that it’s as convenient as it also isn’t. The weight rating is standard and can use with any tools you’d need for antenna and line work. Not structural modifications however. For consistency of whatever tool it is nice, lanyard doesn’t get stuck up and spoils back.

        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tether worked great while in a lift securing cable for a recent project. It was very easy to use and relocate as needed while working in the lift. It paired perfectly with the 3175 anchor and 3740 and 3796 tool attachments. It made sure everything I had stayed in the lift and it was nice that with the lighter hand tools, it even retracted keeping them off the floor of the lift to keep us from tripping in tools!
