How many oz per 5 gallons of fuel for Lawn & Garden (2 & 4 cycle)? This question is really for B3C. I see that they answer questions here; I've tried contacting them directly but no response. The 8 oz bottle (BC3 1-008) says 1 oz per 5 gallons of fuel. The 2 oz bottle (BC3 1-002) of the same product says 1 oz per 2.5 gallons of fuel. The FAQ section of their website has 1 oz per 2.5 gallons, but also mentions "Preventive Maintenance" requires 1 oz per 5 gallons of fuel. I know this isn't rocket science and it probably doesn't even matter much, but some clarification would be nice.

It's simple and basic, for normal use you'll use 1oz for every 2.5gal of fuel, but if you plan on leaving the fuel sitting around for a long time (about a few months to a year), like if you're storing fuel in fuel cans to use for your generator when needed, then it's recommended to use 1oz for every gallon. But once again, everyone will typically use 1oz for every 2.5gal. Hope this helps!

I have a 8 oz bottle of the shield. I have a 2.5 gallon gas can it says 1 oz for the 2.5 gallon correct? It says the bottle is for 80 gallons? how?

2.5 X 8 oz is for 20 gallons why does the bottle say for 80 gallons?

You can add just a little, if you desire, and in doing that, you can actually tteat up to 80 gallons. You can't over do it.. I dont measure, I just pour in a small amount.

I put a whole 2 Oz bottle of Ethanol Shield in a 2 gallon gas can. It's for a lawn mower. Is this going to mess up the motor?

What is the shelf life for this product ?
Asked by: keith
About the same as the shelf life for gasoline. One or two years shouldn't bother it at all. Forty years or more might give you a problem.
