are the charcoal baskets 100% necessary? they get rid of quite a bit of useable space.
We do not test it without the baskets. The baskets help with airflow. The grill will not operate as intended.
Can you use this as a smoker? can it be placed on wood or plastic tables while in use?
This grill should not be used on a plastic table. You can do indirect cooking by putting the fire on one side and the food on the other. It is not really designed to be used as a smoker.
Can you close the lid while grilling
Yes This Grill can be use in a number of ways: • Grill case open with charcoal in both sides of grill. • Grill case open with charcoal in only one side of grill. • Grill case open with charcoal in only side of grill and close the lid for smoking or grilling.
Do you need to use the basket to place charcoal or can you Place it without the basket ?
