Over all I found the feet to work well. A few reviewers have complained about the threaded inserts and the plastic ones provided is done so I'm sure to make the sale more attractive to home users. Most threaded feet do not come with the inserts because the type used would depend on the install material and how tall the feet are. HomeDepot does sell a section of 1/4-20 threaded inserts in metal and brass in different heights. I use them often enough that I stock some in my shop and but the ones they sell look like mine in the pics. The feet themselves really are quite simple. The tricky part is installing the threaded insets straight. I use a drill press to make the holes then an allen key to thread the insert into the 3/8th hole. You need to really pay attention that the insert stays straight while you install. They have a tendency to wobble as you install. Depending on how you install onto the finished product that may not be as big a deal, I often install to block that can be adjusted. But if you're installing right into the finished product it's hard to correct the angle after the insert is threaded in.

These are OK for light weight projects. I used them to level the feet of plant stands. So far, 2 years, they are holding up. Would not use them for anything heavy as I don't trust the plastic threaded insert to hold up.

The plastic nuts break, the outer lip snaps off when loaded by moderate weight (like a person sitting on the furniture. ) They might work better if replace the plastic nut with a metal nut (Tee not or insert nut.) I'll try that tomorrow. Appears to be standard 1/4" x 20 tpi threaded section.

I purchased 20 of these glides thinking they would be useful for my woodworking projects. Sadly, they do not work well. The lip on the plastic thread will snap if a load is placed on it. I had most of them snap when someone sits on a chair that has this type of glide.

I was a little disappointed , I wanted four units and they sent 4 packages of four each. Your ad wasn't very clear. Also I have used these many times and your selection was too limted. Dave

I don’t care for the plastic inserts so I buy the metal t-nuts and throw the plastic away. The size is 1/4 20 but does not say that.

In lieu of using the plastic piece, I opted to purchase a pack of T-nuts. The package of T-nuts sold at Home Depot that works with these are the Everbilt 1/4 in-20 x 5/16 in. They fit the threads perfect and will most certainly be more secure. The reason I rated these a 3 and not a 5 is because you shouldn't have to buy another piece that is sold on a completely different aisle. If the company would have placed a weight limit on these and offered the t-nut alternative, I would have rated these a 5 no problem.

Purchased these to level bar stools. I was also hoping they would reduce drag across a hard floor. Unfortunately, the metal base is so cheap, the weight of sitting on the stool distorted the pad so that the stool is only riding on the base end of the bolt. Prone to scratch the floor and certainly no easier to slide the stool. Useless for anything other than a table or other light load, stationary application.

              Don't get them wet
We used them on porch chairs, and they left black stains on the cedar.
