Would this carry the weight of a 48" x 30" x 1.5" butcher block table top, hanging horizontally?
I don't know-depends on weight. I used it for a door on a cabinet in my shop. Held weight of door plus several tools hanging on the door (pegboard door).

Do theses fit flush or do I need to chisel the area to mount them? I am wanting to use it for a jewelry box. Or any recommendations for a better choice hing.
I believe you would need to account for the bulk of the henge to make the box close tight, so chiseling or routing out a space would be required.

WHAT ARE SOME RECOMMENDED USES FOR THIS HINGE?
The Everbilt 1-1/2 in. x 48 in. Continuous Hinge is great for use on folding tables, cabinets, tool sheds, chests and other objects.
It is said it is good for heavier items because the hinge distributes the weight across the fold better than single hinges, so it's best for projects in such cases. There are weight limits, so you need to do your research.
Can these hinges be used exterior?
Conditionally yes. They are not intended for direct exposure to the weather, but in a properly designed installation, they'd be fine. For example, I have a woodbox on my front porch with a similar hinge, can't remember if it's this particular hinge or not, but when the lid is closed, the hinge is covered by the lid which keeps the rain and ice and snow off. I would NOT use one of these to hinge the door of a storage shed or anything else if the hinge itself would be exposed directly to the weather...although, depending on how you installed it, it could be years before you had a problem. Mostly I use these for toyboxes and hope chests that will live indoors.

Can you cut them with a dremel metal blade, will the pin come out if cut?
Tin snip can be used to cut the 1-1/2 in. x 48 in. Bright Brass Continuous Hinge. Please make sure to wear gloves as well as the metal will be sharp.
