No, heat won't affect these all-steel clamps but they are inferior to constant tension spring clamps used from the factory. Get those instead from an auto store, amzn, Harbor Freight, etc.

Hi Ben: The clamps have min/max dimensions that need to fit over the outside diameter of hoses. In this case, the hose max dimension is 1 5/8 inch, this clamp has a max diameter of 1 1/4 inch, so it will not fit. SKU 100-592 at The Home Depot will fit this application. Thanks for your question.
