What size stake should I purchase for a height of 4 feet? Is the portion in-ground considered in the length?
Yes, 1 foot is in ground. So you will want a 5 foot pole to have 4 feet above ground.
Approximately 1 foot of the U post should be set in the ground. The anchor plate needs to be fully in the ground. A 5-foot U post is compatible with 4-foot fence material. Yes, the length of the U Post on the product page includes the portion that goes in the ground.
Can I use these to hold up a bamboo privacy fence?
I use these posts with a roll of wire fencing and then cover the wire fencing with reed/bamboo fencing attached with zip ties. It works and looks good but the reed/bamboo fencing lasts for maybe 4 years.
Our U Posts are designed to support wire fencing products.
What is the instalation depth for the posts in concrete.
U-Posts are not designed to be set in concrete. Installation requirement is 2 feet into dirt with a post driver.
