Great little door magnet!
This was super easy to install! Once the magnet plate was screwed down I attached the plate to the magnet and closed the door tightly and the plate has points on the back side that made marks on the door making a perfect alignment possible. The magnet is strong and holds the door closed even when the cabinet is full of clothes... which the old one didn't!

Nice Magnetic Catch
The Everbilt Magnetic Catch has an 11 pound holding power. I installed this on my RV closet door to replace one that broke. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. The metal plate has tip on the corner to make the door for mounting. This makes it very easy to properly mount the metal plate. The magnetic catch is easy to adjust to make a nice fit against the metal plate.

Good Magnetic Catch
The Everbilt 11 lbs. Magnetic Catch is excellent. I used it on a really worn out 49 year old kitchen cabinet door that had a habit of not staying closed, and opening part-way creating a hazard. Other catches simply have not worked here. We’re not ready, at this time, to do a complete kitchen remodel, so I decided on this magnetic catch as a temporary fix. The 11 lb. magnet is plenty strong for this purpose, and I would use it on most any cabinet door.

Great cabinet catch
I used this catch on a small door that goes under the stairs in our house, and it works perfectly at keeping the door shut tight. Its actually quite a strong magnet sandwiched in there. My usual test is to set it on the counter and see how far away it will grab the metal plate. This one will solidly grab it at 1/2" away, and takes a bit of force to remove it by hand. All this means it will keep your cabinet door or whatever shut until you manually open it. Its really a great deal for the money!

Handy door latch
The magnetic door latch is a convenient way to ensure small cabinet doors remain closed until you need to open it. Slight pressure on the door handle (or edge) allows the door to be opened. It could also be used on a drawer if you want that. It is helpful if the door is subject to vibration. The latch I received has a single center hole to mount the metal plate instead of the 2-hole plate shown in the photo. See single hole in my photo. I found it helpful to install the magnetic portion first and then mark the door with a pencil. Then the metal piece can be held in place with a spring clamp, drill a pilot hole, and install the screw. The metal plate has small points to keep the plate from moving and a flat head screw so everything is flush, Installation only takes a few minutes.

Good to have options
I used this catch one of the cabinet doors in my workshop which would never quite close all the way. The extra (11 lb) force of this little magnet was able to hold the door closed when other lesser catches could not. This catch was easy to install and stayed right where I put it, which is important when positioning any magnetic catch. Definitely recommend over lesser magnetic catches.

Good Latch
This Everbilt 11 lbs magnetic catch is a good latch that is economical as well. This is a good latch for single or double door installation. The latch is designed for some slight movement to provide for the ideal contact with the plate. The 11 pound pull might be too much for normal cabinet doors but should work great where a greater pull is required. Screws are included for installation.

Good Catch
This Everbilt 11 lbs magnetic catch with counter plate is a good economical catch. It is truly 11 lbs so use on something that requires extra holding power. The screws to attach the latch and cover are included but you might want to consider so longer screws if your cabined will allow as the extra pull will but a strain on the small furnished screws. The plate has holes that are beveled to provide for a smooth finish on the door.

The Everbilt magnetic catch with counter plate is a relatively small unit. It came with the needed mounting screws. The latch as shown is being used as an auxiliary or additional latch for a linen storage unit that had an existing weak catch which would not hold the door closed if a slight force was against it. The Everbilt catch was rather small, so I used it to support the existing catch. The catch offers enough support to keep the door closed.

I'm a fan of these Everbilt magnetic catches for keeping my cupboard doors closed tightly. They can be installed virtually anywhere on any time of framing. Our cupboards have no latches, and food moths were getting into (or out of) the slightly open doors, until I installed these magnetic catches. With the addition of a non-toxic (pheromone) trap also from Home Depot, I got rid of all food moths. And my kitchen looks tidier with doors closed tightly. They don't show on the outside, so color is not important.

The magnetic catch is used for various types of fittings. Several of our windows and door shutters need to have the magnetic catches replaced so getting the Everbilt was an easy fix. The magnetic catch is very strong. It holds the shutter securely in place. It fits nicely in the space and doesn’t require much preparation for installation. It has slots on each side that allow for simple adjustment for easy fit.

This attachment system is strong enough to hold a slightly warped closet door closed. If you mark off the metal plate on the door and then the two slots on the base it easy to install. There is slight adjustments front and back on the base so the depth is not too critical. It is strong enough that is the metal plate on the door can be slightly off and it will still work. The only question is how durable the plastic base will be, so be careful not to over tighen the base. It has no real moving parts so it shouldn't break under normal use unlike the spring/roller closures.

This is an 11 Lbs. Magnetic Door Catch. It is ideal for a doors that need to stay closed and I use them for my work shop cabinet doors and they're great. They install very easy and they operate easily as well. The hardware to install does come with them. These door catches are good for medium to larger doors as they can hold the 11 Lbs.as in the description. The brown surface of this catch fits perfectly into the interior of cabinets, and the magnet into the cabinet - the counter plate to the inside of the door. The hardware includes the catches, the plates and the 1/2'' screws for both. I already installed mine as soon as they arrived in the newly built shop cabinets I made and they work just fine.I would recommend these to others.

EVERBILT Brown Heavy Duty (11#) Magnetic Catch (102 782 623) is compact and well made. Installation instructions included. The tough plastic housing holds up to tightening of the screws when securing. Slotted holes in the catch base allow for minor adjustment in and out if hole locations are centrally located. Be sure to leave adequate space for driving the mounting screws, whether by hand or drill. Holes should be predrilled. Precisely positioning the catch and plate take some extra time/effort if access is limited. Leaving the plate attached to the magnet housing can make for easier positioning and locating holes to be drilled. The stronger magnet (11# heavy duty) on this catch was perfect for this particular cabinet door as it is slightly sprung and requires a little more help to stay shut. Now the cabinet door stays shut yet still opens nicely. Simple things like this make me much happier! For my situation, I was replacing an old magnetic latch that had broken. To simplify the installation I “cheated” and left the old striker in place. Used one existing hole, and then an awl to make the second “predrilled” hole. Unlimited warranty to original consumer/buyer. Made in China.

The EVERBILT 11 LBS. MAGNETIC CATCH WITH COUNTER PLATE, BROWN is a quality product. We used it to replace a cheap magnetic closure that was on our tv stand. The door has never closed properly, and when we physically pushed the door plate to the magnet, it would not stay closed anyway. EVERBILT has a larger magnet and plate and works great. The installation was easy and quick and with a little push, the magnet catches and the door stays shut! I would definitely recommend this product.

I found my son an industrial quality locker for his high books at home. It had a magnetic catch that wasn't working. I thought about adding a second catch, but instead decided to remove the old catch and add the Everbilt 11lb magnetic catch. I like Everbilt products - good quality, simple packaging, nice price. I didn't use the included screws as I didn't want to drill holes, then screw. Instead, I had some self tapping screws laying around that worked great. I measured the width of the door at 3/4" and marked where the catch would be placed. The screw went right into the metal. I would note that the screw sort of self aligned to the center of the catch screw slot. It has a horizontal slot presumably for adjusting distance. I then attached the magnetic metal plate to the inside of the door, easy enough. The door closes well and stays shut, which is what we wanted. It is not strong enough to stay shut in the case of a falling book. Nice little gadget. I would use them again.

When you replace all your kitchen hardware and latches, you are bound to have a few issues with the seating of the doors with as many cabinets as we have. I had a few problem child doors that did not quite close completely. I tried adjusting the hinges, but still was not happy with a few doors. I decided to use some magnetic door catches to address this issue. The are small and simple to install. It only took a few minutes per latch and I am very pleased with the results. If you are annoyed by doors that are not close to flush, then this is a simple solution that works well. This one pictured appears to have a slightly warped door, but it still was so much better with the catch installed.

Wish I’d made this hardware change when I got my china cabinet 20 years ago! The old pull I replaced made the entire china cabinet shake it was so tight… I hated opening it. This magnetic catch just pulls open and gently magnet-clasps back closed. Makes it so much easier to get to my good dish wear out! Easy to install - I removed the old one and screwed this in. It did need new screw holes since it sits a bit further forward than my old clasp - but nothing a bit of touch up polish won’t cover. Screwed the base plate in, attached the magnet to the door, and done! Took about 20 minutes which was primarily time to decide on placement (measure twice, drill once). Now that I know where to place them and that the concept works, I’m going to get a 3 more of these of the other doors on my cabinet! Love an easy upgrade :)

Sometimes we need a little help keeping cabinet doors closed. There are a few options on the market for accomplishing this task and some are better than others. This one falls into the better category. It comes complete with the necessary hardware so there's no searching the screw jars looking for the right size. It's a simple and clean design but doesn't fall short in the functionality department. Yes, they work just as intended and precisely how you'd hope. They clasp easily and effectively yet aren't difficult to open, which is important when you get older and your grip strength isn't as good. These are capable and affordable. You won't need anything else.

EVERBILT 11 LBS. MAGNETIC CATCH WITH COUNTER PLATE, BROWN (1-PACK) This 11 lbs. Everbilt magnetic catch is great to hold your metal cabinet doors shut and will also work on just about any cabinet door using the included plate to catch the magnet. There are many different types of these with most being of a lighter holding strength. I highly recommend this magnetic catch. See the pics.

We recently did a significant upgrade to our kitchen. This included replacing all the cabinet hardware after painting. Some of the doors do not shut all the way, no matter if I replaced the hardware a second time or not. They are just slightly open, but it is annoying to me, so I decided to add some magnetic latches on those few doors, to eliminate the gap. I am very pleased with this simple fix. I tried a 4lb catch, but prefer the 11lb catch overall. Either work, but the 11 lb. catch just grabs better, in my opinion.

I have an old office table in my basement that I use as an electronic repair work bench. It has steel tube frame that bended after years of putting heavy soldering stations, oscilloscopes, signal generators on table surface. This winter I noticed that drawers started rolling out on their own under their weight as inclination angle was steep enough to overcome drawer rail friction. To keep drawers closed I bought magnetic catches and install them on the back of the drawers. As magnet and plate comes with 3 screws you need only a phillips screwdriver and 15-30 minutes of your time to install them. 2 longer screws secure the magnet and 1 shorter is for plate. I didn't check 4lbs claim, but drawers now locked in place.

Another fine product from Everbilt... This solidly built, very strong white magnetic catch is well-designed and constructed. The package contains the magnetic catch, the steel plate and three mounting screws. The magnet is powerful. There are slotted screw holes to allow for adjustability. The steel plate has sharp protrusions at the four corners so that you can press or tap it into place before screwing it. Depending on your application, it may be advisable to predrill your holes.

Everbilt 11 lbs. Magnetic Catch with Counter Plate, White (1-pack): I got this Magnetic Catch for under the counter cabinet doors. I want my cabinet doors to close shut all the way and stay that way so my pets are not able to get inside. This Magnetic Catch is easy to assemble, and has a solid magnetic catch when the door makes contact and closes. The door will not come loose, and will only open with a strong pull of the hand. This is a perfect size catch for all under cabinet doors. One catch per door is all that is needed.

Got a door or cabinet that needs a little extra to keep it closed? In this instance an outdoor storage cabinet, something for the little things on the deck. But you still want to keep the kids, pets out of it by accident? That old Oh it just fell open. Well this will help keep it from falling open. That extra bit of edge to keep things closed without locks, knobs, or latches. Just good old fashioned magnetism.

We recently installed large plantation shutters in the second master bedroom of our home, the magnetic catches that came with the shutters were undersized. A quick trip to Home Depot and I found Everbilt’s eleven pound magnetic catches that fit the same holes. You can see the difference in size which is matched in holding strength. I installed the catches myself using a screwdriver, in just a couple of minutes. Now the shutters stay shut unless you want to open them.
