I understand how the brush loosens the lint inside the vent pipe but how do you get the lint out of the pipe altogether?

Does it work with a 3” vent?
This product is designed for 4-inch diameter vents. It may not be effective with a 3-inch vent.
Do I have to run the tool down the vent from my roof, or can the vent be cleaned from the bottom up? I will need the rods from 2 kits since the vent pipe goes about 20 feet from the dryer to the roof exterior.
The tool can be used from either direction. I typically like to run the rod from the inside to the outside, though there have been times when it has been helpful to go from out to in. Good luck; roof vents are notoriously difficult.
can it be used with flexable vent pipe?
Yes. You will want to be careful. I have successfully used this in rigid, semirigid, and flex. Older, fragile flex may already be compromised, and is prone to easily tearing. Do not attempt to use it in plastic flex, which should be replaced anyway.
Does the pole flex with the duct work
Yes it does. Make sure to keep slight pressure on the drill trigger as you are moving it forward and back through the pipe, and only keep the drill in drive, never reverse.
After I'm done using it, how do I disassemble all of the rods so I can store it easily? I have tried every imaginable way of getting these unscrewed and they won't budge. Help!
Fasten the end of one into the drill chuck and hold the next in a pair of vice grips, then put the drill in reverse. Sometimes mine have been stuck like that, but I’ve always been able to eventually get them loose.
Does this work any better than using my 610 CFM lawn blower?
Yes. The blower will get chunks out but the brush cleans what's stuck to the walls of the vent pipe.
