I have a space under my house that I wanted to use for container storage. The challenges included working with posts that were 8 feet apart and I wanted to store several hundred pounds in large (deep) plastic containers. These shelf brackets worked like a charm! I spanned the brackets with 12 foot long 2x10 pressure treated lumber and placed the containers. These brackets are made of heavy steel with excellent welds and they easily hold my desired load.

I ordered and bought some at the store (50 brackets). About 50% of them were not square and/or bent. When using a laser level to install the shelf brackets you can see the difference. I had to adjust the bracket height on the wall to get the front of the shelf to appear level. If you are buying these at the store make sure you compare them and select the ones that are square and not bent.

These brackets were installed to hold planter boxes on a shed. They are strong and look good. Remember that while the brackets themselves are strong, the fasteners and the material they are attached to are of great importance. This is the second time that I have used this type of bracket.
