Q:After purchasing this item I see that the box says non rising removable pin. Well if the pin
doesn't rise how do you remove it? I also see that it has a bottom cap that is not shown in the product pictures and there is no mention of how to remove it.

Does not work with Same-brand Hinge Pin Door Stop
Installed as expected but the pins are hard to remove. After the hinge was installed I couldn't remove the pin w/o scuffing the trim. So I removed the hinge & successfully removed the pin, albeit w/much struggle. Even worse is the pin is too short to be used with the matching hinge-pin door-stop. Once you install the door stop, the pin does not make it all the way to the bottom of the hinge. See pic. I will return the unused door stops and go another route.

over engineered
for years and years you could just easily pop out your hinge pin. I googled and looked on YouTube and could not find a way to remove the PIN which is supposed to be a non-rising pin on the everbuilt squeak free door hinge. it is not really a non-rising pin you put a punch in and knock it up from the bottom so to me that's still rising isn't it but to make something more difficult that is historically been easy seems stupid I've never had a hinge that squeaked I always spray WD-40 on them before I reassemble them. but I've never had a problem with a normal hinge so making it more difficult to take out the hinge pin just seems stupid

Well made hinge
Matched to the hinges on new factory made doors with hinges and frames we purchased. We had one water heater louvered door that we sanded and repainted and needed matching hinges to the other doors that were factory made. Worked well.
