Product Details
This wire backed silt fence is ideal for when you need a barrier in place for an extended period of time. It is constructed of MISF 1776 fabric with 14-Gauge wire mesh. MISF 1776 is a 100 g woven polypropylene fabric. The stabilizers and inhibitors make it resistant to deterioration caused by ultraviolet light, heat and soil conditions. 36 in. high black fabric with 24 in. wire mesh. Measures 100 ft. length x 36 in. width.

First, I unrolled the fence roll and walked on it to get it to lie flat. Next, I clamped the silt fence to an existing 3-board fence. Then I used my heavy-duty staple gun to staple the silt fence to boards and posts. The process worked and the silt fence, which I'm using for screening, is up and doing its job. Overall, the job was pretty easy.

I got this 3 FT. X 100 FT. BLACK WIRE BACKED SILT FENCE because I have free range chickens and I set this up in areas where I spray weed killer so they will not go in that area. for a few days. the fabric is attached to welded wire fencing with hog rings and bundled at the beginning so it will not unwind which was the hardest thing to remove and ripped the fabric getting them off. But if you get the U-Fence Post Store SKU #286735 the fence wire will clip right on them so quick and easy.

This silt fence will work very well for the projects I'm working on. Of the several things I like, one is that it is wire backed so it will keep it's shape and do it's job in controlling debris from getting inside the perimeter and providing an effective barrier. The woven plastic fabric looks to be strong and the tight weave is also a plus. I have a spot along a fence I especially want to control and this will work great. This will work good for commercial or residential jobs needing silt and waste control.

This is a very versatile product. While it was meant for construction sites, I have decided to use it to solarize my raised bed gardens. With the wire side up this will allow me to solarize to control bugs and weed seeds next season. This area is super windy and no amount of weed cloth is going to stay on the ground. With this stuff I can cut the lengths exactly to my garden boxes and a couple rocks hold it nicely in place. Easy to roll up to store for the following season. It can also be used well for a bit of a wind break for outdoor animals, so very multiuse stuff!
