Going on six years outdoors and going strong.
I installed these hinges in 2017 for my desk, I did coat all the hinges with paint to protect them. My sprinkler and drip systems lines are stored here for my yard. I needed a good heavy-weight hinge to hold up a large heavy access door. After five years the hinges all work fine and look like new. The Everbilt 4 in. Security Door Hinge features a 5-knuckle full mortise design. The removable pin provides easier installation or removal of our door. Easy to install. I have been pleased with this product.

Good hinge
I found, as in another review, I had to install these hinges upside down. Because I needed the square on the right side, the door, and the 5/8" radius left side on the frame (this is called a left hand hinge) which Home Depot doesn't seem to sell? I then removed the upside down hinge pins and was able to tap out the plug at the other end, the top. Then I tapped the plug back in to the hinge bottom and put the pin in the top. Effectively making this a left hand hinge.
I don't really need the "security" feature of these hinges because the door opens to the inside, thus, the hinge "fulcrum" in inside so the pin could only be removed from the inside.
( these hinges work for left hand installation, just switch the plug and pin around )
I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because I spent hours online looking for the correct left hand hinges also the hole pattern does not work, does not match the existing holes. And I had to fill in the old holes with makeshift wood plugs and glue. I had to do this because the mismatched holes were close enough that the screw trying to make a new hole would veer off it's straight coarse and push out into the nearby old hole.

The hinge was very sturdy and I liked the added feature of the security tab. I intended to use these to replace the hinges on my cellar door leading to my garage. My door is hinged on the left and if I set up the hinge with the square side attached to the door and the radius side to the jam the pin would be upside down. So unfortunately I was unable to use these hinges.

Solid Brass with a nice finish and locking tab. I considered these for a bookcase door I built, but opted for the heavier commercial grade hinges due to the weight. These probably would have been fine, but since they were not really going to been seen, I didn't need the nice brass finish. A good hinge, looks good - solid brass will cost you more though.
