Great quality and value. These closet bolts worked very well for my new Kohler toilet. They seem to be a bit more substantial than the bolts that we're on there before. The brass seems to be of good quality and no concern for rust. As an added bonus, these bolts also work very well on the T-track of most 3/4" track systems. They fit very well into the fence and fence track of my Ridgid table saw.

These bolts are for attaching a toilet base to the closet flange and are normally used when installing a new flange. If you need to replace just these bolts you’ll need completely detach the toilet from the plumbing and flange, which is more than the simplified instructions printed on the carton. I rated the Ease of installation as excellent because, as I stated, they require the disassembly of the toilet and flange. The bolts are brass and supplied with two steel and two nylon washers and cap nuts with thru ¼-20 threads.

These bolts worked very well. Good quality product - brass bolts (resists rusting). They did the job (a job that you don’t want to do too often) very well. The only thing is that they are long so in order to put the caps on you will have to saw off the excess. Use a hack saw and saw for 10 minutes or use a Sawzall and be done in 10 seconds your call. When removing the toilet make sure to scrape off the old wax ring and install a new one. Strong and durable, I would recommend.

Comes with cheap (non brass) washers that will rust through when top of toilet anchor bolts are exposed to moisture (cleaning, etc) . Not sure if the nuts were solid brass or brass plated. Everything should be solid brass, otherwise it will rust.

I used these 5/16" x 3 1/2" non-magnetic, brass, non-rusting bowl "T" bolts (closet bolts) to secure the new toilet to the floor. I placed the two bolts vertical position in the closet flange and then installed the wax ring in place, install the bolts in the toilet (use plastic straws over the bolts to aid in guiding the bolts into the toilet) and then added the plastic 2 washers and tightened with the 1/4-20 nuts and then the decorative bowl cap. Very easy to use and install on the toilet. I also used another set of Everbilt "T" bolts on my "T" track on my drill press to make portable stops when drilling.

Toilet bolts, in my experience, are either brass or brass plated steel. If they are steel, they seem to tend to be 1/4 in diameter which makes sense because steel is stronger than brass. I like brass better because it cuts easier and is less likely to corrode enough to affect it's functionality. I have always been able to unscrew brass bolts but have had to cut steel ones before. The brass also cuts easier than steel which more than makes up for the larger diameter.

These closet bolts (anchors to hold down the toilet to the seal) are well constructed of sturdy materials. The nylon washers supplied with the bolts keep it from cracking the porcelain of the toilet when tightening them down. The nylon lock nuts make it have a firm hold and wont allow them to back off once you are done securing them to give a complete seal. the design of the anchor head itself guarantees it not to pull from the mount

I used these bolts to install a new toilet in my bathroom remodeling project. They are a larger diameter than the ones I replaced. To me, that gives me a sturdier hold so I should have less of a chance that the toilet ever moving. The bolts were quite a bit longer then I needed, so I had to cut them shorter, Do yourself a favor and measure the length you need them to be before installation. That way they will be easier to cut than after you install them. I did it the hard way.

The 5/8" bolts that come with this kit are slightly wider in diameter than most standard toilet bolts which are 1/4". The larger size doesn't seem to make much of a difference on the install. The retainer washers which hold the bolts up vertically in alignment with the slots in the closet flange while you set the toilet are priceless. The retainer washers in this kit are nice and thin as opposed to being thicker like a metal nut as some other toilet bolt kits come with. These retainer washers seem to do the trick as long as you don't hit a bolt with the toilet while you're setting it. The retainer washer can give way if you hit the bolt with the toilet so you have to be careful or you may have to start over and set the toilet back down and realign your bolt and retainer washer with the closet flange. My biggest issue with this kit is with the stainless steel washers. These washers are arguably the most important component and bear the weight of the stress load holding the toilet tight to the floor and closet flange. These washers need to be strong to do their job. Unfortunately, the washers in this bolt kit are soft and bend as they're tightened. Since I also like to use toilet bolt caps I have 2 issues: 1) the bent washer sometimes won't let the plastic base of the toilet cap sit flush, and 2) I usually have to cut these long bolts down so the caps sit flush. The soft brass of the bolts cuts easily with a mini hacksaw and a bit of patience. But sometimes the toilet cap doesn't sit level if the washers become deformed while tightening. I'd like to see stiffer metal washers to prevent issues with level toilet caps. (Note: The instructions provided for download online do not mention the step with the retainer washer. The retainer washers are what make this kit so much easier to install than the old-school toilet bolts. The retainer washer goes on the bolt and sits on top of the flange before you set the toilet. Once the toilet is set you install the metal washer and tighten the nut if you're not using a toilet bolt cap.)

I needed a pair of these bolts to reattach a toilet to the flange after replacing the bathroom floor. The Everbilt bolts worked just fine. They included 2 bolts, 2 washers, 2 nuts, and 2 plastic retaining washers that hold the bolts upright while you set the toilet over them. These worked as fine as any others toilet bolts I have ever used. Don't forget to replace the wax ring too if you are reattaching a toilet.

I found that the 5/16 IN. X 3.5 IN. CLOSET BOLT ASSEMBLY worked perfectly when installing my new water closet. They locked in place as they were supposed to do and the length was not to long which made for a nice appearance. They were definitely of a higher quality than most of the closet bolts that I had previously used, and feel that they will do an excellent job for anyone.

I am a plumber by trade. These extra long toilet closet bolts are nice and thick at 5/16" compared to the standard 1/4" size that you find for sale in many places. Pros: They are longer than normal for use with flanges that are buried well below the surface of the tile. They are made of brass instead of cheaper rust prone steel as well. The base of the t-bolts are nice and large so they will resist pulling thru a plastic flange or weak metal flange. They come with small plastic washers that slide over the bolts to keep them in place on the flange as you set the toilet. The metal washers that go over the thick cap washers(that come with toilets) are made out of stainless steel but... Cons: Those stainless washers are VERY thin and cheap that go over the plastic cap bases that come with toilets so that when you tighten them the washers deform and bend out of shape. This can and will in many instances crack the plastic base washers so that the caps can't be installed properly. They should be thicker like most other bolt kits found at plumbing supplies so they don't bend. I am split on whether to recommend these or not because of this issue.

We recently replaced our 30 year old toilet with a more efficient chair height toilet. I used the Everbilt brass 5/16 x 3.5 in. closet bolt assembly to fasten the toilet to the floor. I had previously measured the distance between the floor support under the toilet to the height of the toilet bowl flange to make sure there was sufficient distance to allow the caps to cover the assembly when installed. Being of brass construction the assembly is less likely to rust or corrode over time and add to the durability of the install.

What can I say, they are toilet bolts. They fit smoothly in the flange and are ready to go. This set were 3-1/2 long. They are a little long for the toilets I usually set but a few minutes with the hacksaw and they are perfect size and ready for the caps. The package comes with a couple flat metal washers and a couple plastic flat washers as well. I would use these again.

While these closet bolt were well made, and easy to position in the closet floor flange. The length of the bolt turned out to be a little troublesome. There is no way of installing the decorative cover caps over the bolts. The bolts have to be cut off after they were installed. This was more aggravating than anything else. you have to make sure that the closet bolt nuts are installed before you cut off the length of the bolt. Or you will never get the nuts to line up with the bolt threads.

What can one say about toilet bolts that has not been said before? These items do exactly what they were engineered to do and they do it with no problem at all. As far as installing them, well it is a job that is done with little hassle and time line is about the same every time I have to do this job. The product is a good product and it works well.
