Full Overlay Frameless Surface Mount Soft Close Hinge (2-Pack)

I was in need of a soft close hidden hinge solution for a kitchen remodel. My cabinet doors wouldn't allow for typical European style hinges. When creating the hole in the door, the bit would poke through the face of the cabinet. These hinges were my solution with a little modification. My cabinets are framed, so in order to use this farmless hinge, I had to create shims behind each hinge. A little extra work, but it works great and is cheaper than buying new cabinets/cabinet doors.

What’s not to love about a soft close hinge. I had my husband install these in the kitchen, because, you know, he likes to slam those doors. He said they were easy to install, just measure twice and make sure it’s level before drilling the hole for the screws. For me they provide a much more quiet home when he’s rummaging around in the kitchen. The hardware is also nice in appearance.

These are really fabulous hinges!!! The installation is not really difficult, especially if you do not follow the lousy instructions that are given with this product. The hands in the bag is not the hinge in the instructions, similar, but different. The only part of construction that I have never done is cabinet work. In order for me to make this installation I actually had to find a video on YouTube.

These set of soft close hinges are of good quality and easy to install. They come in a set of 2 hinges to conveniently replace any one set of your kitchen, bathroom, or closet cabinet door hinges. They have 2 set of pistons that work together to close slowly and quietly those pesky closet doors that may be slamming or have outdated or damaged hinges. Instructions are clearly printed and easy to follow. It is critically important, though, to measure the thickness of your cabinets given the length of the screws, otherwise you will be messing up your cabinets and doors. These hinges unfortunately, do no work well in cabinet doors that are pre-built with a round hole cut out for the hinges, unless you place them on top of the cutout or above/below it but it would not look good. If you are looking for a good overall quality, quiet, and easy to install option, these could be the right option.

I remodeled my kitchen and, to save some money, I decided to refinish the cabinets. My toddler likes slamming the cabinet doors, and it was driving me nuts! This was the perfect solution because Soft Close slowed her down. They are for Surface Mounting. I found the installation easy, and my doors don’t have that loose sag feel. I am so glad that I made the upgrade. Highly recommend!

The EVERBILT surface mount soft close hinges come in a 1-pair package of 2-pieces. No special hole saws needed for mounting the hinges. The hinges are made for 3/4-inch-thick doors on a cabinet with 3/4-inch sides and no frame. The hinge automatically pulls the door closed softly and quietly with just a push in the closed direction. The instructions show how to place the hinge for 2 different applications. One is for doors on the outside of the cabinet and the other way with the door setting flush on the inside of the cabinet. The hinges do come with screws for 3/4-inch thickness application.

I'm impressed by the mechanics of the hinge. I do need to make a couple final adjustments to my hinge positioning but my flip top lid cabinet is coming along nicely with these hinges. They are a bit difficult to manually open and close because of the strength of the hinge. This is a hefty hinge, I could see them being used in a variety of uses wether in the kitchen, garage, craft room. The large board/ cabinet top I am hinging didn't make a sound when closing, it was quite impressive because it's a fairly heavy real wood board.

These hinges are an excellent product from Everbilt. They can be installed on most any type cabinet door. They have a flat surface mount, which is very convenient for many installations.The absolutes best feature is the so called soft close dampers. With these dampers the hinges are practically guaranteed to safely and quietly close cabinet doors. Not only is it a safety feature, but it will also extend the life use of your cabinets. I gladly recommend these to anyone installing cabinet doors.

The Everbilt Surface Mount Soft Close Hinge (2-Pack) is a good value. They are very high quality that can handle a quite heavy cabinet door. The hinge action is solid and totally quiet. The screws that are included work well to firmly attach the hinges. I am very impressed with the included instructions that cover most possible installation situations.

These are metal surface mount soft close hinges. I got a 2 pack that comes with 2 hinges, 8 screws, and an easy to read instruction guide with illustrations. I only needed 2 hinges because my project was under 13 lbs. The instructions show you how to install with an overlay cabinet door or an insert cabinet door. The tools required are a drill, drill bit, Phillips head screw driver, pencil, and ruler. It specifies this is for frameless cabinets only. These hinges are great. I did not use them for a door. I actually used them on a project I made. I had made my nephew a table to use with his steering wheel on his Playstation. When he is not using it for the Playstation he uses it as a beside tray table. Almost like a table you would use in a hospital bed. The only problem is when not in use this build takes up space in his room. I decided to give these hinges a try so he can lift the top of the table up when it is not in use. These hinges were perfect for my needs. The table is not complete yet. I did have to move the top of it over for the hinges so now I need another peice of wood about 4 inches wide to fill in the table top. We just got hit with 2 feet of snow so I am not able to finish the product but I will post picture's of what I have so far. These hinges are solid and feel very durable. The soft close dampener work's great at keeping it quiet when lifting or lowering the table top. The great thing about these hinges is they will keep your door or table top securely in place. I will be buying a lor of these soon for my cabinet doors. My kitchen cabinets never seem to stay closed. Someone is always leaving them open.
