"Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, Hi Home Depot Customer, The manufacturer states that it should take approximately 30 lbs of force to open the catch."
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is,To install the ball catch, you will need to drill a 13/16 inch pilot hole that is 1-5/8 inches deep for the catch itself. Additionally, 5/64 inch pilot holes are needed for the screws.
13/16 inch for the catch.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, This product is designed for interior use. It is recommended for lighter interior doors.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, Sorry, only can use a door to open one way.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, No, this product is designed for doors that open in one direction only. The ball catch mechanism is spring-loaded to catch on a strike plate, which only works effectively when the door swings in a single direction. For a door that opens both ways, you would need a different type of latching hardware.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, The catch don't include magnetic, it should be 30 lbs to open it.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, The manufacturer states it should take approximately 30 lbs of force to open the catch. It is not magnetic.
I believe it is . I have the same roller ball catch as you I’m sure . They’ve somewhat worn out so I’ll replace them with these adjustable ball catches
This product is a ball catch, not a roller catch. While both serve a similar purpose – keeping a door closed – they operate differently. A ball catch uses a spring-loaded ball that catches in a strike plate, while a roller catch uses a roller that wedges into a strike plate. They are not interchangeable, so this product won't directly replace your existing roller catch.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is 16mm.
