Questions & Answers

One carton has 210 ft.?

I need 4 pkg of 6 to a pkg x 6ft tubes
Asked by: dallisalice
I bought (3) loose pieces. They were not 6 Ft. long. They were 70" (2" short). A package would be 35 pieces. If they are the same as the ones I bought, you would be short 2"x 35 or 70"

R-3.1 will prevent freezing down to what temperature?

Asked by: Mike
Insulation slows the rate of heat transfer. If the water is stationary as in an extended period away, and the temperature is below freezing, the pipes will eventually freeze

Semi-Slit 3/4 in. ID x 1/2 in. Wall x 6 ft. Long Polyethylene Foam Pipe Insulation - 210 Lin. ft./Carton is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product This is a little more expensive than some others, but well worth it.... more durable than cheaper stuff and takes the heat from my solar better. I will be getting more as it went in easily and I have decided to do the cold pipes, too. Tip- it may not be split the whole way through, so just hook your finger through it and slide it open for a clean split ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, no more burning my bum The laundry room has an exposed heating pipe and I would burn my rear every time I bent down to move the clothes to the dryer. This insulation is great and I'm no longer receiving 3rd degree burns when doing chores!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not 6ft. We did the math using the measurement of 6 feet. However, we bought 7 of them and none of them were 6 feet. They were random lengths between 70-71 inches. We used zipties to cover crib rails with them. They worked, but there was more space at the top than we planned.
