Yes it can be painted. I would recommend a light sanding and wipe it down with damp cloth to get the dust off and paint using good grade off paint.

Rigid like a wood plank or slightly flexible? Is this outdoor rated?

It’s pretty bendy, until it snaps suddenly. I wouldn’t trust it on anything less than a 4’ to 5’ radius. It definitely is not suited to outdoor exposure. The MDF is notorious for wicking up water even through the smallest nail holes.

Is this painted on all sides ?

Just painted on 1 side and edges. The edges are rounded.

Thought I would save painting time so I purchased this product. What a big waste of time. Used 18g brad nailer like I always do installing baseboards. Caused big welts on boards. The coating on these boards is not to easy to work with. It seems like a hard plastic coat. Air from the nailer welts the surface. Easier to replace boards w traditional boards than to try n clean these up. Couldn't imagine trying to prep the surface for paint. In addition, ur supposed to use a special caulk and paint made by the mfr. Learned a lesson - too bad it was such an expensive lesson

Wonderful Product
The trim was ordered online and shipped to our home. It arrived in great condition. Very few pieces of our trim had marks on it that I easily removed with a magic eraser. The finished elegance caulk matches the finish on the trim perfectly. Very pleased with this product in that it minimized time and brush marks that appear with painting. Worth the money.
