Yes it can be painted. I would recommend a light sanding and wipe it down with damp cloth to get the dust off and paint using good grade off paint.
Yes. I used 200 grit sandpaper and very very lightly sanded wipe off with damp rag and painted.
In the Home Depot paint department. There is a Finished Elegance White that can be matched to this product.

I would recommend liquid nail.
It’s pretty bendy, until it snaps suddenly. I wouldn’t trust it on anything less than a 4’ to 5’ radius. It definitely is not suited to outdoor exposure. The MDF is notorious for wicking up water even through the smallest nail holes.
Just painted on 1 side and edges. The edges are rounded.
