Lasts and lasts and lasts
I got a set of Farberware in the early 70s and it has held up under all kinds of conditions. I was delighted to find 3 more saucepans in a local auction a couple of weeks ago, which I bid on and won. They are nearly new and I'm happy to have them, but there are no lids for any of them. It looks like I need 5-1/2", a 6-1/4", and a 7" lid for my pans, but I haven't been able to locate a source for them.

45-year old set - STILL GREAT
I bought 2 sets in April 1976. Great pans. I use them every day. It is now May 2021! The only problem I ever had was that the 12" skillet bottom eventually became wobbly and couldn't use on my ceramic top stove.

      Stainless or not?
Ive only used my pots a few times since January and the inside looks damage from the hot food. They are not easy to clean and I wash them by hand. I use to have a nonstick cheaper set of this brand and it lastest for several years. This classic was more expensive and in my opinion is not the best.

Thank you for your review, and we're sorry to hear about your cookware. Occasionally stainless steel may exhibit a rainbow-like discoloration. This discoloration is normal for new stainless steel product. Such discoloration may also take place if the product is exposed to higher temperatures. As long as the product has not been overheated, this rainbow-like discoloration should be easy to remove. To remove, use Bar Keepers Friend® cleanser and a soft, nonabrasive sponge. Be sure to rinse thoroughly as cleansers can leave a powdery residue. Lemon juice will remove the 'rainbow' effect as well.
The frying pans are not good for electric cooktops
I recently bought a new electric cooktop, so happy to finally get one that wasn’t scratched as was the one I inherited when we bought our home years back, Figured getting this set was ideal to keep it from getting scratched. All the pots were great, no issue. But the frying pans with those swirls on the bottom surface did a number on my cooktop. I wanted to cry. I should have known better. They were not smooth like the other pots. I removed them right away after waxing and polishing and hoping to get the scratches out of my brand new cooktop. When buying on line it is so important that you post pictures of the bottom of the pot for those of us who have electric cooktops. Electric cooktops are just such a pain, never had to worry on a gas range, could use any pot or frying pan. I also bought a griddle that I can’t use either, has the same bottom surface.
My only regret is I hesitated to buy them sooner!
I bought these pots for my brand new electric cooktop and I purchased a few other “Classic” pieces and they are awesome. They are sturdy and I am sure will last a very long time. The bottoms are flat as a pancake which is so important for an electric cooktop. The heat is evenly distributed which makes cooking quicker. A really good value for the price, it can’t be beat. I just love these pots. Told my Mom and Sister about them and they bought them too.

I have a set of these my mother bought for me for a shower gift in 1977. They still looks as good as new. If these are the same as they were back then I'm sure my daughter will enjoy them also. I cant say enough good about them. My mother had a set also and they were much older than mine.

Last cookware you will ever buy
Bought this set of stainless steel cookware in 1974. Still use it every day. Looks like new. Will never buy anything else. Guests are amazed my set is 47 years old. They think I just purchased it. Bought sets for each of my4 children. Didn’t want them eating Teflon.

Received a full set of 10 for a wedding shower gift in 1975. Cooked thousand meals in them. Never put in dishwasher used Brillo pads etc to scrub when needed and still shiny and bright as the first day out of the box! Wouldn’t replace them for any other modern product! Well done Faberware ! Keep up the great work!
