Product Overview

The Edgelit Flat panel 6 in. White Integrated LED Recessed Kit makes it easy to add downlights anywhere you want. No need for an existing recessed can or junction box in the ceiling. Simply cut a hole in the drywall based on the instruction sheet dimension stated, run your Romex cable from the direct line voltage to our can less retrofit kit through the knockout to the quick connect terminal, daisy chain additional Romex from the quick connect through the knockout to your next can less retrofit kit, then push the spring loaded clips through your existing hole. The springs will pull up on the retrofit kit for an airtight seal. The load profile design makes it the perfect option for low plenum clearance for indoor and outdoor residential, hospitality, commercial and multifamily applications with confined, hard to reach spaces such as closets, attics, bathrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, soffits, porches and entry ways.

Wow! Run one traditional can light and then this one. You’ll never go back! This Feit light needs no can and can be used in damp settings. The light last upwards of 50,000 hours! Install is a breeze! Just cut a hole in your ceiling drywall using the enclosed template. Then run your Romax wire to each of the fixtures daisychaining them together and you are done!

If you need a new light in an existing ceiling this is the way to go. You just follow the directions and cut a hole using the template provided. I used a hacksaw blade with a frameless handle. The hardest part is finding a 110volt line to tap into and running it to the hole. Now it is a simple matter to slip the wire ends into the connectors and pushing the spring tabs into the hole and the light will follow with a gentle push.

I ordered a 6 inch size 65-Watt Equivalent 3000K (warm white) White Round Flat Panel Integrated J-box recessed trim downlight and received Feit 'enhance' model 75 watt replacement (uses 12 watts) 6" integrated downlight instead. A pretty good trade in my opinion. I have been slowly but steadily replacing old recessed incandescent ceiling can lights with LED's either as they have failed or as I have remodeled/renovated each area of the downstairs of our 100+ year old house. This will go in the 4'x4' pantry off the kitchen at the end of a run. This will be the tenth or eleventh one I have done. It is by far the most compact and thus I expect it to be no more than a ten minute job tops (translation: piece of cake). From the photos you can see the interior of the j-box with the included push on style (I like them) wire nuts. The cover pops off with a small screwdriver. As you can also see there are two (I would have preferred three) spring clamps that securely hold the light snug up against the underside of the sheet rock ceiling. The instructions are more than adequate. A couple of shortcomings to note: a locknut cable clamp is needed and not provided (come on!), this light will not work well with plaster on lathe ceilings - they are too thick for the clamping set-up and finally, the integral j-box is pretty small making middle of the run and 12 ga wiring connections a real bear. That being said this is a great light in my opinion for new work and some old work replacement situations.

6 IN. 65-WATT EQUIVALENT 3000K (WARM WHITE) WHITE ROUND FLAT PANEL J-BOX INTEGRATED LED RECESSED TRIM DOWNLIGHT I got this light to replace a recessed light that was in my bathroom and was missing a cover that I couldn’t find anywhere. It worked perfect for it and was very easy to install. I’m definitely getting more to replace some other canister style light and some just to add in some area that could use extra light. These are very simple to install as long as your comfortable enough to run some wire and cut a hole in your ceiling

Easy to install and run lights to any room without any recessed can or junction box. Just run he wires to the location, cut out the hole/circle and connect it. You can daisy chain this and have multiple lights anywhere you want. This is especially useful for place that doesn't have clearance space for the cans. Looks great and last up to 50,000 hours so probably never have to change the lights out.

The 6 in. 65-Watt Equivalent 3000K (Warm White) White Round Flat Panel J-Box Integrated LED Recessed Trim Downlight 6 IN. 65-WATT EQUIVALENT 3000K (WARM WHITE) WHITE ROUND FLAT PANEL J-BOX INTEGRATED LED RECESSED TRIM DOWNLIGHT is a really unique and easy to install light. I really love LED's and these say they can last 45 years so that's great. They are solid and well made and should last a long time. They have a quick hookup you just have to insert a wire into for the connection. Great Light but just a little expensive compared to can lights.

I had an older 5 inch can light in my finished basement. I’ve never been too happy with the light output of that fixture and tried a CFL bulb recently. Still not happy. So I ordered this 6 inch 75 watt (uses 12 watts) because of the energy saving quality and that it is used for replacing can lights or new/renovation installation. Everything is included in the package with the exception of a 3/8 inch junction box wire clamp. The wiring is very easy and explained well in the instructions. This uses quick connect fittings inside the integrated J box and allows for up to two wires (if you are running lights in series). Since I was replacing a fixture, my wires were already in place and it was just a matter of removing the old can, enlarging the hole to the template size, and putting the new light in place. The light looks great and is held in place by drywall torsion springs. It gives off plenty of nice 3000k crisp bright light. A very nice fixture. A little better than I expected.

What a great way to replace a dead recessed light fixture over our entry door into the kitchen. I knew it was either the connection was bad or the temperature fuse faulty, but replacing was going to be messy since this was a new construction light fixture, not replaceable without tearing up the sheetrock, patching, painting and all that. So this light fixture catch my eye is an easy way to do the replacement and it worked out great! I should note the connector punchouts weren't created deeply enough so it was difficult to cleanly remove to make the connection (see blurry photo). But the attached push in connectors were awesome and allowed me to reuse the wire already coming from the junction box to the old fixture (BTW the problem was indeed the load connection in that buried junction box). The light arrived at 75 Watt equivalent so it was brighter than I expected but in our situation that's ok, but something you may need to worry with if you are trying to match the intensity of other nearby lights. Overall, great solution to a problem I had.
