Thank you for your question. The model number for the Havenview Countryside rails will have either 30 or 36 "SB" or "AB" at the end, and the "AB" is for the round aluminum balusters. The "SB" indicates the matching square composite balusters.

Do you need to use shims with install since there is space btwn post and sleeve?

Thank you for your question. No, shims are not needed. The extra space will allow for the posts to have room to move should they twist or bow with time.

Considering the sleeve rests on the deck boards, it would only protect the post from the deck up provided you get the matching cap. Below the deck to the ground and below should be treated, in my opinion.

I have a 24’ deck with 2 stair rails on 1 side two steps on the other side 3 steps with about 15 posts what is all i need for this project.
